Find out what your hair type really is
video description
Thickness: basically the same as the sewing thread
Density: around 3 inches, so medium-
Damaged or healthy; I dont really need a hairbrush to detangle my hair, and it's barely ever knotted. My hair grows fairly quickly(which is pretty useful, and I can donate more of it in my life time. I'm not exactly sure what classifies as split ends. so I'm not really sure about that-. My hair doesnt stretch though, but how much can it stretch exactly? It doesnt snap either. I dont know if her meant drying naturally or with a blow drier, but either way it doesnt take hours upon hours to dry. I dont have clumps of hair coming out. Also I think my hair is sorta shiny- after I wash my hair it's quite smooth, and my brother keeps playing with it. he tells me he messes with my hair cause his is short mine is long-
I think generally my hair seems healthy, but I might have split ends?
Curl pattern; not sure, my hair is straight, but at the very ends, they sorta curve a bit-

Dandruff is oily scalp hard to get fungus on dry skin If your hair stretches a lot (really, its too much) before it breaks: elasticity is high because its missing protein. All kinds of things can cause your hair to lose proteins: too much water, excess heat, excess manipulation, or chemical treatments. If these sound familiar to you, youd most likely want to add protein treatments to your hair care routine.
If your hair stretches and goes back to its natural shape: elasticity is balanced and your hair routine has a balanced amount of moisture and protein.
If your hair does not stretch at all and it instantly breaks when pulled at elasticity is low and your hair is weak because its losing water faster than usual. Look for ingredients that aid in water retention such as aloe vera or Panthenol (B5.

This helped me so lol Ive been trying to learn more n take care of my hair n this is what I learned; i think lol
My hair-
Scalp- normal
Thick or thin? Thick
Density- High
Damage- Split ends fs but no heat damage/ damage in general
But also. question. I think my hair types is like 2a/2b but idk. When i get out of the shower If i want straight hair that day i can brush it flat when its soaking wet and just try to maintain the straightness as it dries n it gives me the end result of like 2a but when i get out n i use my products and put care into my hair its pretty wavy so its j pretty easy to manipulate based on what i want. What is this! Lmao

YES! I thought my hair was still damaged after a year of using Olaplex and I was sooo confused as to why it felt so freaking dry. Nope, I went into Ulta and they were like, you're hair isn't dry at all. You just need moisture because it is wavy. Just get moisturizing conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and a hair oil; and use the olaplex only if you notice split ends or signs of real damage.
Meanwhile. Last year my hair was breaking off but I didn't know. I thought it just wasn't growing. Then, after a year of being very careful with it and using only good products and not overbrushing. My hair grew 4 inches in 6 months (I measured)

My hair texture is changing I can tell my hair is much looser I can run my fingers through it and my curls are popping more even when my hair is short. Im growing my hair out again this time natural Ive been taking care of my hair my mom saw me this time and she didnt saw my hair looked like naps she liked it because it was curly. Long story short I was threatened to put a texturized in or cut my hair because she said my hair wasnt curling. It was she just had to be patient. I cut the texturized out like 2 years ago or 1 year.

me with a pikachu face finding out my hair isn't as damaged as a thought even tho i bleached and dyed it so much, it should have fallen off at this point. it's just more dry at the ends and harder to brush (but my hair always was a nightmare to brush even as a kid) and i think it's between 2c and 3a as well. hard to tell since it's far from always a spiral. it's just curls to one side and then to the other. all over the place

I had been growing my hair out for like 10 years and I didn't get one trim and I had so much split ends, my hair was soo dry, and I couldn't bring my hands through my hair even after 3+ times of brushing it and it was very thin on the ends. then in september 2021 I chopped like 7 inches and started using moisturising shampoo and I haven't had split ends sense.

I have dense fine hair so I would always say I have thin hair, but lots of it. So contradicting! Is your hair thick or thin? Me: Yes.
Edit: wait. He started out by saying your hair isn't thin, it's fine and then literally never used fine as a descriptor of anything. So is my hair fine or is it thin, Brad?

I had 2c hair until I had kids. Now the crown is frizzy 2c, the bangs are 4b, the underpart is a literal mass of hot garbage.
I only wash it twice a week, dont use any heat tools, and no color. so my hair really is just trash. FML.
