Hairdresser reacts to people going red to blond at home wxstednxghts: Everyone saying red and black are the hardest colors to get out when imo its blue or green. I've literally removed red and black idk how many times with little issues but blue and greEN? Lord save my soul. I'm rn dealing with green tint in my hair due to having half black, half blue and I removed the blue to go blonde white/silver and even color corrected with pink dye before the silver and when I removed the pink, it went black to a green tint. Some bits are silver while others are yellow silver and the rest is like a grey green and its NOT IT

im honestly shocked at your attitude on color remover i use to bounce shades often and always used a color remover they do not damage the hair like at all, they just open ur cuticle and shrink the color molecules so they wash right out, they really give you an upper hand on less damage when it comes time to bleach. also i have never had a color remover tell me not to use on roots. buttt i have used color remover on an auburn color before and those color molecules expanded back when the bleach hit it and i had a pink streak that took months to remove

How much for all these things? Im kinda thinking, maybe, going to the hairdressers would be more beneficial. But with saying that I have tried many, many, many different things on my hair myself without knowing what the actual result would be but just hoping for the best.
Now Im over that who gives a f#$ age in my life I really need your help.
Im now closer to 50 than 40 and people keep telling me to go lighter as its not so harsh? Please please please help me out here brad I NEED your advise.

I have actually went from neon red hair to platinum WHITE icy blond, and this is what I did: I used a color remover first which made it light orange then bleached it with 30 volume and blue powdered bleach and I got a 9 base, so I waited for another week and bleached it again going up to a 10 and was able to use a wella t18 on my hair. Yes wella t18. But the base was right so I was able to get good results and go up to my dream platinum hair!

The vitamin C tablet/head and shoulder's method is one of the worst things I could have done to my hair. I implore everyone DO NOT DO IT. I tried it to get stubborn pink out of my hair after multiple bleach baths did not work and it turned the ends of my hair to string cheese. I might as well have put acid in my hair. I should have just died it purple or another color that would have covered up the remaining pink.

Color removers arent scalp safe. Thats true. But neither is 30 vol with lightener on the scalp! I will die on this hill. Ive done it to speed things up after hours at the salon with my coworkers and gotten chemical burns. DO NOT DO IT! Its more worth it to do it twice and save the scalp from a lot of pain.

I used Brads tips to get magenta out of my hair. I definitely had to cut a good 4 off at the end, but I was expecting that. Its platinum now, and Im just leaving it alone until it gets healthier. Lots of deep conditioning and protein treatments to keep it happy and healthy!

ok. i have to admit. i like ur hair when its more natural/its natural color, i also really like the blonde brown thing that was going on. but not when its was patchy of different colors like sorry dude but that was blech sorry had to say it (also ur red hair wasnt the best)

Craziest think I did was bleach and then sections of teal n purple ended up pink yellow blue and green than turned eventually and faded to Carmel and green like Starbucks and my brown I left so only did my underneath layer in sections and my bangs

when I used to bleach my hair, being biracial it never really turned that platinum white everyone gets to, but, whatever was orangish/blonde, a dab of T50 for 10 min, took it to a nice grey/silver/ash look, LOved it.

The way when he said blonde I looked at the title and saw that he spelled blonde blond! Yet I'm pretty sure that I can be a at least pretty good hair stylist (in the dying genre) yet I horrible with cutting hair!

I dye my hair red alot and it's the hardest Ling on the world to keep up and I wish I could tone it some but red hair I don't what I would do and I would love to do root shadow. but my kids love the color

I don't know why people think that ginger hair is not going to turn orange over time. I'm naturally a redhead and my hair is not red it's more orange/copper than anything. So confused.

LOreal has a color remover that lifted my natural level 5 hair to a 10 in 40 mins and stripped the blue and purple out of my hair in our salon. No bleach needed to get another vivid

Not me watching this video four days after dyeing my hair red Idk, I got the impression that I was way more approachable as a blonde, I have RBF as a ginger, I dont think it suited me
