for me, a girl with thick 'long' hair, the invisiboble works perfectly. maybe not for releasing the tension from the roots, but because i can wrap it around my hair as many times as i want. it is so stretchy. a nornal hairtie i can only wrap 2 times and it is to loose or trying it a 3 time and have my hairtie broken. with the invisiboble i can easily put it around 5 times and have a comforteble ponytail (but if i have it in for 10 hours non-stop i will feel it) and the price for me is no problem. because they are more expensive you wil take care of them better i have 9 invisibobbles and wear one probably everyday. i have them for probably 1, 5-2 years and i only 1 broke. i hope this helps haha

. I bought some of these invisibobble in a Chinese market 10 years ago, and they were AWESOME. Never stretched, never broke, never tangled my hair (which are a very frizzy-tangly kind of curly hair) but I lost them during the years. When I saw the invisibobble I bought it without even thinking. I. Frigging. Hate. It. It stretched immediately, I put it in hot water as I heard various times but never shrunk back, my hair were always tangled in a very painful way and one of them broke. And I spent 12 euros for three of these. things, when for 3 euros I got 20 of the Chinese version.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but is this supposed to be a new thing in your country? Cause I've been using this since elementary school and now I'm approaching 25. Honestly this is a cheap product for short duration usage and so not worth the price you mentioned however good the material is. It's a completely normal hairtie, it stretches, people lose it, and the overall silhouette is not exactly appealing. As you say the comfortable level is offset by how loose it gets as time went by and it can even still create dents on several types of hair, myself included.

After about 6 months of my friends wearing them and loving them, I gave in and got them too. And I definitely noticed that I don't get as much tension / a headache from them as I did before. For hairstyles, I still have one or two normal hairties. I feel once you've used them a bit longer and they stretch out more, they can make a tighter and perkier ponytail. ALSO, what you didn't address, is losing hair because that is one of the main things I've noticed: you definitely lose less hair once you remove your invisibobble compared to a normal hairtie.

I'm in Australia and I use an Australian brand's, called Lady Jane, version of these, I have straight, fine hair and I find I'm still able to put my hair up in a reasonably tight high ponytail (My pic is old. If you want a more secure ponytail I would suggest wrapping the Invisibobble around your hair a few more times. In your video, it looks like the bobble still had a lot of give in it which I suspect is why it moved as much as it did for you when you wore it without the extensions. :)

I love these hairties but more for quick updos and less hair styling. these will definitely save your hair on those off days when you go for a more simple laid back day without much fuss with your hair. I will say that i wear my hair up ALOT and normal hairties give me alot of breakage around my hair line, an since my hair is somewhat curly, they curl up around my head like a lions mane. these hair ties will help prevent that breakage if you have ultra fine hair like me.

I've been using them for about a year. They are great for the gym during your lunch hour or when cleaning or cooking and you just want the hair out of your face. or to sleep during the summer (and it is super hot) but not to style your hair. I have a lot of very thick hair as it has no hold. Like old phone cords, yes it stretches out but after a few hours it retains its shape

Thought: I have very thick hair that makes all ponytails loosen up (and get that headachey weighted feeling) and your ponytail-caption trick saved my life. Maybe try that with the bobble? I just impulse bought one at sephora the other day so I'll have to try that, putting the bottom half into one bobble and then combine all of it in another, see if that stays.

I work as a health care assistant in a nursing home and I have to have my hair up all day and it's a very physical job. I love this product because it holds my hair up comfortable in a messy ponytail or bun and after my shift I can just take my hair down and it's like I just straightened it, no crease and no pain at the roots. So this is a 10/10 for me
