60's Inspired Hair for Adele, Madmen, or any Retro Look Kiwidiot: I have really thick hair, and used to suck at sock-bunning too. However, I find that it is very helpful to spay your pins with a bit of hairspray or dry shampoo. Also, try doing a diagonal part from the ears up, using 1/2 of the hair in the bun and wrapping the other half around the bun. Using straight pings instead of bobby pins works well. Practice makes perfect

I have shoulder lenght hair, but sometimes I really want to make those kind of buns for special ocasions and so, the other that I saw in sally beauty's supply a foundation for a bun, It looked like a donut: P Could you explain how to use it? and does it work for short hair like mine?

Hi I have insanely thick hair. It isn't fluffy or frizzy, but when I try to do many of your styles, hairs stick out. I semi-professionally style hair, and can easily fix it on other people, but can't seem to get it right on myself, seeing as I have much thicker hair than most people.

I'm no expert but my best friend's hair is really fine and she couldn't get her hair to tease either- she put mouse in her hair and it sort of helped but it doesnt look as nice as using a texturizing spray did- even a boatload of hairspray might help. :)

It's my natural color: . I'm about a level 6 ash brown with a little gold thrown in. What makes the color look good is the fact that it has natural highlights that are probably a level 8 gold: . Hope that helps

Thanks a lot for the reply, but I tried hair spray already, different brands even. Doesn't work: ( And no dry shampoo available here yet in the Philippines, as far as I know.
