The Evolution of Sansa Stark Hairstyles from House Stark on Game of Thrones was one of the most unanimous requests I have ever received So I knew I had to make a Sansa Stark hair tutorial and show you how to do the GOT Sansa hairstyles. This isn't going to be your average hair tutorial, we're also diving into character development and theories about how and why she Sansa Stark played by Sophie Turner chooses her hair braids. I can't believe Game of Thrones airing it's final episode tomorrow night How did 6 weeks fly by so quickly?

I love how sansa goes back to her three strand braids when she returns to the north. The rich southern kingdoms have impractical and beautiful rope braids purely for aesthetics, but the northern ladies have to wear practical three strand braids that keep hair out of their face and stay in place in the harsh environment of the north. Love how thats reflected in the dothraki as well. Both sansa and daenerys go back to their three strand braids paying homage to their true homes, and casting the superficialities of the richer and more comfortable places theyve lived at aside

SPOILERS there was something so amazing to me about sansa's very last scene where she was being crowned as queen in the north and her hair was completely plain, just falling down straight, which we've never seen from her. it's like all her different hairstyles and braids were precursors to the crown she was always waiting for, which itself looks like a complicated braid. now she doesn't need to use hairstyles to convey her political identity because the crown says everything that needs to be said, and her hair is just a part of her natural beauty.

aren't her first braids not french but dutch lace braids? isn't that the northern thing? Also doesn't she put more of her hair up in the rolls? like the sections around the ears? Also, aren't the little rope braids attached above the big ones? also, aren't the rope braids in the 4th style lace again? This is not meant as hate I'm just confused because this is different to the other tutorials I have seen from silvousplaits and ladollyvita33.

You did the Kings Landing hairstyle wrong. Its supposed to be the entire front and top section (to the ears) that goes into the crown part the back bottom part is supposed to be put into two twists that cross at the back and drapes over the shoulders. Its why you couldnt do a more elaborate braided crown, there wasnt enough hair to work with.

amazing video, but i have something to say about the lore of GoT. In the beginning you say that Sansa's hair might be inspired by Lyanna and something about a Romeo an Juliet love story. The North and the rest of the kingdom believe that Lyanna was kidnapped, so the hairstyle could be something northern, but not because it reminds of a fairytale

The two characters i hated the most in the show was her and Daenerys. I mean obviously little finger and Cersei were a complete no for me but at least they embraced their true form. Sansa and the girl with a thousand names have no true identity and are all over the place and refuse to be honest about themselves.

Hi I love this video I have copper and auburn hair (you look gorgeous with this color) and I was wondering if you could tell me what eyebrow products you used to do your eyebrows? It is very hard finding a good product that is a good color and not like a clown to do natural redhead eye brows lol. Please let me know Thank you

Great video She is my favorite character The fashion in which she wore her hair was partly out of survival. It was a subtle way of familiarizing herself with her captors and other powerful women. You can see the similarities in Cersie S2. Margaery S3. Lysa Arryn S4. Caitlyn Stark S6. and Daenarys S8.

What is really interesting at the end of the video is the fact that the last bun at the end of the video ie the end of season 7, the bun kinda looks like a rose, like a Tyrell Rose, so you see parts of Cersei, you see parts of her mother, and you see parts of Margery, and that is so interesting

I really like how you take the time to explain the meaning of every hairstyle. You're so determined and hard-working. I'm always glad to watch your videos because your happiness and passion is contagious. You always look great by the way: .oh and congratulations to the braidaholics that helped: D
