hey! quick correction - black-owned brands ARE regular brands: ) when you were talking about the lashes you said since you weren't able to get your hands on a black-owned lash brand, you instead put on just a pair of regular lashes. i realize your intent was just to not spotlight the brand you used instead, but it came off differently. good on you for using your platform to educate your viewers! keep it up! like you said, these changes must be permanent. looking forward to seeing more of these products in your regular videos haha. xoxo

I am so proud of the message that you re trying to send. I myself have experienced some racial profiling being a Mexican and know how hard that is but obviously I m not black so it s a lot different for me. Understanding what this privilege can mean and how it s different for every race was so eye opening. I m glad that you understand the difference being empathy and not but all lives matter. Thank you all that you do and I m glad to be supporting your brand knowing you feel this way!

Hey Manny! You did so well saying what you knew and standing with the black community. Really quick note, not all black people are African! It s okay to say black people (as you did, but important to keep in mind that other black people can come from other places (i. e. Jamaica, etc! Again, I m glad you re speaking out because the beauty community seems to be a hugely unaccepting community to POC, specially black people. Not trying to be critical, but it s good to know! (:

I wanna say thank you for making this video and using your platform to speak on whats going on. I'm new to makeup and i have really enjoyed Fenty but I do have a wishlist of products from black owned companies that I would love to purchase from: Mented, Beauty Bakerie, Pat McGrath and Juvias Place. Again I thank you for speaking out and learning more about what's happening in the black community. Stay blessed

I appreciate you making this video. I just want to say please don t be afraid to say black people instead of African American. I notice a lot of white people tend to say African American because they re afraid black isn t correct. It is perfectly ok to say black people just never blacks. So when you re referring to black people; black people = yes, African American = fine, blacks = no lol

Being honest and saying how nervous you are to have a conversation in the fear of being uneducated I think is the most honest thing I ve heard on a YT vid! I know many of us feel the exact same way, hoping we don t offend anyone during this time especially when we are on their side! BLACK LIVES MATTER. WE LOVE YOU AND WE WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU!

I don't know if you'll see this manny, but I want you to know I think you're doing an amazing thing. Owning up to your privilege and your biest is something not a lot of people can do. What you're saying is what black people have been saying for years, but I think, unfortunately, because you're white, people will hear it more from you.
