Acrygel & Dual Form French Ombre Mega Fail - EPIC FAIL NAIL

In today's video, we are going to be attempting an Acrygel & Dual Form French Ombre. Bad results will ensue. A lot of you have been demanding that I create a video showing you how to do a French Ombre using the Dual Forms and Acrygel. I'm not sure why you would want to create a French Ombre using this technique because the original technique is already simple enough and actually works I can ensure that this was an epic fail and a very difficult technique to do. I would not recommend doing this but feel free to laugh at my attempt because this was an experiment after all but ultimately a massive epic fail

Ive had pretty good results using duoforms by doing the following on my own non-dominant hand: 1. Marking on the outside of the form the shape and length of the nail bed and the shape and length I want finished nail. (I do not necessarily need to go to the full length of the duoform )2. Then I put the first layer of gel on as you did and cure for 5-10 sec. 3. Apply a thin THIN layer of the nail bed color blend down as usual. Cure 5-10 sec 4. Repeat step 4 using the white on the tip. Cure 5-10 sec. 5. Fill nail bed with bed color as needed tapering onto white as indicated by thin layers. (NO CURE BETWEEN STEPS 5 & 6)6. Fill tip with white as needed tapering onto nail bed. Remember your markings for length. 7. Apply to finger and cure recommended time. Pop off form file sides and length if needed. Buff and top coat as usual. This has worked so well for me that I have started doing both my hands with the forms. Yes, it might take a little longer but I feel it works better for me.

I've been wondering if this would be possible. Oh, and I have that same problem with dual forms not fitting my cuticle area correctly. (I filed mine down, and then put them in their own little baggie with my name on them, even though I probably won't ever try using them again) I don't understand why they are made square-ish when I don't know anyone with square-ish cuticles, only oval That being said, I can't make dual forms work right on me. My natural nails are actually shaped like sculpted nails, high C-curve with the proper apex hump followed by a downward curve all the way to the free edge. The dual forms I have don't really curve down as much as I need them to curve. The shape of my nail beds and plates makes it really hard for me to apply tips right, too.

Hello I have a question regarding the monomer speeds that are on the website. I would appreciate if I could get some clarification on something I tried the max adhesion monomer and was wondering which one is best to get next as I like to work quick with acrylic. I thought the medium speed would be perfect but the reviews on the website for it all say it is slow and gives people a lot of time to work with it. Perhaps should I get the high speed monomer instead or will medium be just right? Just worried that the high speed is too much.

Hi Kirsty- I was one of those asking about an ombre in a dual form. So when I saw this upload I thought, wow Kirsty has done this just for me How sad Anyway, thank you for trying it. I am a total total novice at acry gel & haven't/ can't attempt acrylic so I'd hoped that using a form would be an ideal solution for me It's not to be it would seem Plus when I do use forms don't use tips on my nails & I end up a total sticky mess at the end of any dual form process on myself I'm a nightmare. Love watching your uploads, you're so very talented

Thank you for trying, Kirsty I was one of the people that requested this, because I LOVE the way an ombre looks, but since I use dual forms on myself, I couldn't ever get it to look right. I thought I was doing something wrong lol Looks like I'll have to practice using my left hand to create an ombre if I want one on my own nails. Well, thank you so much for responding to my request I really appreciate it even though it didn't work out.

What if u out white down first and make it thin sh were you'll be putting the pink down for blending? If the white is thin enough where it will be blended the pink will be lightening in that section since there a thin coat of white it'll just leek through giving the illusion of blending? I'll try it when I vet Mt kit from amazon since its fort be possible or maybe LUCK LOL.

Wasnt bad at all for a first try with acrygel. But you know, you'll get there. You have it in you to fix anything. Thats what i love about you. Is your motivation to do it right and make it look good. Cant win em all, but ya can change it and make it right. Xxx thanks for sharing kirsty. Xx you're only human after all.

I ordered the lint free wipes, thinking theyd be the same as in the video but they arent lint free at all, they arent even the same wipes as she uses in the video even though the link is in the description They leave hairs on the gel base coat and can not be removed no matter how hard i try to get rid of them

As much as I know that it is a fake hand, when Kirsty starts manoeuvring those fingers, in an impossible, because you know, we have bones and stuff, it genuinely makes me cringe and freak out a little bit, until I reaffirm with myself that is in fact Willymena. Love the videos, never stop

I actually love the way that looks and with a few tweaks. it inspired me to try something. I love how it looks like short natural nail growth but blurred. not the standard fade but how it wraps around. I'm very visual and horrible at explaining things, lol.
