Hey, guys In today's video, we are going to be creating a Monochrome Heart Design OMG How cool is that? So, first of all, you're gonna need gel polishes that are super pigmented. So in this demonstration, I'm using Serious Black and Snow White because I'm going to be doing a monochrome design but you can do it in any colour if you so, please. So I'm now gonna do two coats of the Snow White and then cure. Next, I'm gonna get some Serious Black and pop a bit onto some backing paper and then I'm gonna get a dotting tool and dip into the black. So essentially, I'm going to use this as a pen in order to draw out both sides of the heart shape and then fill them in. Now we are going etch out more of the heart on both sides, but we aren't going to fill these parts in. You will then create a line going down the nail using the Serious Black. We are then going to create a black stripe in the middle but going around the heart and then we are going to finish with a small line on the other side of the nail. You are now going to topcoat it to seal in the gel polish and add a gorgeous shine Well

The way I do it is a MUCH easier way. Just put your white base on, draw the heart outline in black, draw black stripes down the nail all the way, even through the heart, and just color in every other stripe black, but skip the parts with the parts of heart going through it, and then in the white stripes, color in the parts that have heart going through it. MUCH easier, takes NO imagination. This is a great design though Kristy: ) Just thought I would give you an idea for an easier way to do this. :)

I have never seen this question asked, so forgive me if you have answered a thousand times but. do you have a dermal on your arm or do you just glue gems on your tattoo? I love it btw. Also you are amazing. I thought for sure you used tape or a stencil for this design - I cant believe you free handed it. but I should have known

That is so cool yeah but I can walk into the side of the barn I could see the needle in the haystack. But that one there's no way that looks super cool though didn't David Bowie play in the movie where they wore stuff like that and think of what it was called anyway thanks it was awesome I'd love to have it

Kirsty. your gorgeous nail art designs are just mind blowing, seriously I love your passion on the nail industry, I keep me looking ahead even if I am not and most likely will never be as good as you are at creating all kinds of manicures. Thank you for always sharing and teaching us all the how to =)

Love the design, I have been practicing on my nails with acrylic and you make it look easy, but it is not, I was up all night, wow didn't even polish them. Pointers on how to get the right consistency, because lumps and bumps required the drill, lol

All u gotta do to make it easier is draw out the entire heart shape first and then draw in your lines because where there's white in the heart, there black that meets it outside the heart. So u can use the black to draw the entire heart first.

Hey, so this gave me an idea, back in ww1, they used a pattern on ships that was called razzle dazzle camo to disguise a ships silhouette from the U boats, Google it. could you do a razzle dazzle nail? You have such a steady hand.

Can we all just take a moment to be in awe of Kristy's MAAAAD artistic skills here? Free-hand, straight lines, AND she is doing an opposite design within these straight lines. This is some Russian Nail witchcraft, here
