So, in today's video, we are going to be doing something a little bit more morbid than usual. Yes, that's right. We are going to be creating an extravagant skull design OMG How cool is that? So first of all, you're gonna need to get a tip and then pop a little bit of topcoat onto a palette. I'm using a form but you can use whatever. Now I'm gonna go straight over the nail with the topcoat and the cure that and then now with my spatula I'm gonna sprinkle some of the clear acrylic powder over the topcoat, it's sort of a homemade acrygel but the real stuff is much better as the consistency is there already Now we are going to create the skull design using our mixture, so we are gonna pick a little bit up and then sketch out the shape of the skull on top of the nail and also fill it in whilst leaving spaces for the eyes and mouth. Then as you go down the nail you're gonna create some sort of crossbones. Finally the finish the design we are gonna go over it with the Hades gel polish to help bring out that gorgeous design and then we are going to cure it and then topcoat it

Could you put a colored powder in the top coat instead of the clear? You paint it all black anyways, we could see the process a lot better then. And it would be darker on the spots that you really build up. So it would show lots of detail that is hard to see. Stunning work as always I love these edgier designs

Conceivably, could you do a layer of Gel Polish - such as Bronze - cure that, then topcoat & cure. Now, do the clear gel polish/powder mix & cure. Finally finish by using the Gold foil on top of the embossed parts. Then top coat. Would that make for a good design?

So talented. I think another way this technique would work is in a design with snowflakes/winter theme. With Christmas being right around the corner, I think this would be a wonderful technique to add dimension to this type of design/theme

Ooooo You could do the same techique you did here with a flag design (like the UK flag) and on all the other nails have famous places in that country (like Big Ben and Stonehenge) that are all flat so the 3D flag is the main focus

I was sad that the teeth detail was kind of lost with the top coat. I wonder if a thinner top coat is possible or if a person just needs to exaggerate the details knowing that some will be lost under the protective top coat.

For those of us who are lacking in the amazing artistic ability which you possess, do you feel like it's possible to stamp a design first, then do that same process? I'm not as gifted as you, Kirsty

I wonder if mosaic type pattern nail and somehow use foil and other stuff. I died laughing on the 7 hours later. I hope the metallics go all the way gel for you don't have to wait for it to dry.

erm Kirsty, is there a specific reason why you didnt use a black acrylic powder for this? I mean it would have made it easier to see when working. just asking; ) luv ya
