Hey guys, Meg Feather is joining us today as I create an Cushioned Acrylic Cutout design on a ballerina nail. OMG How cool is that? Firstly dehydrate the nail and then use an acid based primer. Followed by a base layer then starting the design with golden girl acrylic powder and then I start to create the cushioning pattern. I follow up on this by adding a natural either side of the middle of the nail, then I move to the edge of the nail and repeat the same pattern with purple. I finish the pattern by encapsulating the design and filing down the down the nail to perfect the shape. Wipe over with some acetone and the go over with a top coat and cure. Go over the nail with come cuticle oil to get a nice shine on the design and there you have it guys a beautiful design done for today. Don't forget to hit the like button, share with your friends and subscribe to the channel for more totes amazing nail designs and i'll see you in the next video. Love yas Kirsty xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I thought you were going to do that Chanel purse look diamond tufted pattern, but this was much different. I don't think I'd call it a cushioned design because there's no cushion to it, it's flat as a pancake. If you painted narrow contrasting stripes over the centerlines of all the diamonds it would look like an argyle pattern. My task for today is to practice pink and white acrylic French fades. That's what my friend's daughter (who is now my son's girlfriend) wants for Christmas from me. I'm going to make a deal with her that I will keep her nails in gorgeous shape on the condition that she comes to me with the little bothersome things rather than picking at her nails. When I did a set for her birthday they only lasted a week because she picked at them. Constantly. I would rather do a repair/mini-fill every week than have her unhappy with her nails all the time.

Hello Kirsty I watch all your videos. I want to become a nail technician but I am a little confused on what qualification you need some say you need a diploma or nvq other say city and guilds. Can you please clarify which one I would need I have found several courses but I don't want to pay out if it turns out not to be the right qualification I can't afford to repay if it's wrong thanks keep up the good videos x

I have a question for all of you nail techs. Do most of your clients come in with a design they have in mind for you to do already or do they come in expecting you do to whatever you want? I've never gotten my nails done at a salon before and was curious if I ever did get them done, I could request them to do whatever they wanted.

My sister in-laws hands sweat a lot she gets very insecure about going to the nail salon because she knows her hands will get clammy and sweaty. It's a little unprofessional to comment about something your client is well aware of and probably insecure about. I think you've said something about her hands in every video

Man, that nail is sick Your talents are boundless honey. I would love to see somebody try to re-create this design. How long did it actually take without the editing? Thank you for providing such entertaining an amazing content. You are the best

Its funny that the book teaches us that palms dont have sweat glands, yet Ive had tons of clients with clammy palms. How can that be so if palms dont have sebaceous glands? This question has been plaguing me.

How have you not put out an Manicuring Educational Series in Practice & Design? I have been doing this since 1980 and I have never seen anyone more suited to do this than you. A Serious subject to think about.

Hey. you actually can treat clammy hands even sweaty pits with botox. excessively sweating hands means you a condition called hyperhidrosis. and you can use botox injections to stop it. check it out
