Aquarelle Hand Painted Butterfly Nail Art Design

Its Kirsty and today Im going a 2D butterfly nail. Im going to use 2 coats of Lavender Breeze as a base colour. Top coat the nail, cure the nail and then buff away the shine. Apply the paints to a damp sponge, and then water down the magenta on some backing paper. Use a brush to paint on 4 wings, make sure each wing is dry before adding the next so they dont blend into one big blob. Once those are dry, go over them with smaller, green wings. Dry your brush off and use that to remove any extra liquid from the nail if you need to. Im then going to use the same paint but with less water to create curves around the butterfly to add more the design. Use dark green paint to create a head, a body and antenna in-between the wings to make this a proper butterfly. Im going to use the same colour to add little dots around the curved lines. Water the green down a bit more to add more dots onto the butterfly itself. Make sure the nail is dry and then add a layer of topcoat to cure

These aquarelle pieces are like magic to me. I MUST learn how to do this to make a bougainvillea and a wisteria. Of course, I have very ambitious and challenging full sets of different views of these flowers from up-close, far away-ish, one climbing a trellis, gazebo, or maybe climbing a privy? Of course, you wouldn't want the bougainvillea climbing the outhouse because bougainvillea have thorns about three centimeters long

Oh, that lavender is to DIE for Dont know why the very pale pastels are grabbing me lately. And of course I love all your work, but these aquarelle (spell check says its Squirrely) pieces are divine. I do sort of like squirrely for the name better than the real one.
