Hey YouTube Kirsty Meakin here and in today's video we will be doing a star design full look using acrylic and gel polish to create our stars I'll start out by fitting the sculpting form to the natural nail and then dehydrate using the Naio Nails Nail prep dehydrator and prime with the Naio Nails Ultra bond primer. Next up we will be using our crystal clear acrylic powder and we will start out by creating a clear acrylic base before the acrylic dries pop some little pieces of mylar on the base and encapsulate. now its time to pinch the sculpt, make sure to test pinch before using your pinching tool now we will remove the nail form and file the nail, I'm going to start by using my E-file to take off the bulk of the acrylic then ill do my normal filing routine using hand files and finally buff over the nail and clean using Gel residue wipe off solution and a lint-free wipe. Next, I'm going to top coat the underside of the nail and get that cured. Now I'm going to be doing my stars and ill be using colours from the Naio Nails Urban Graffiti luminous collection, I'm going to do my stars using a detail brush and will be doing the stars in random colours across the nails. Now I'm going to top coat the nails using the Urban graffiti Topcoat, then ill buff over the nails to eliminate the shiny surface around the start so that I can use some white acrylic paint to hi-light the edges of the stars. Finally, ill top coat again to smooth the nail and to protect my acrylic paint and then add some cuticle oil to finish off this set Thank you all so much for watching if you got value from this video please subscribe if you haven't already like, share and all that jazz Lots of love xox KM out MUSIC BY CXNXR

Love as usual piggie in the middle you've used before love it. Clear not So Much Anymore as I am beyond legally blind my eyes do not filter light. So lighter colors and even darker colors side-by-side I cannot even tell anymore. Have a continue watching and doing my nails until I am fully blind which I will be. Damages in my brain and I've got cancer anyway so hopefully I'll be dead by the cancer before I am fully blind. Not to be able to look upon my grandchildren's faces would break my heart alone. Thank you Kirsty you're awesome as usual always so upbeat this was not a pity party I just have a hard time with the Clare

Hi Kirsty is there any chance that you can do more items for youtube as you keep me going, I am a disabled lady and mostly bed bound or stuck in a wheelchair and having you to watch keep me going but I now know most of what you say word for word on your past one's as I have watched them so much. I have spent lots of money trying to copy what you do but I still struggle picking up beads can you tell me where I can buy one of your practice charts from as I think that will help me as it did your students in Scotland at the begining of the week many thanks ever your fan Jill x PS hugs to your girls x

Those are a lovely summery set of nails. BTW, the stars you painted are five pointed stars and the Star of David (Magen David) have six points. They are two triangles, one pointing up and one pointing down, on top of each other. Or at least that's how I have always made them. I only really know about this because I once studied Judaism because I was considering conversion. I studied for two or three years before deciding not to convert.

Hi Kristie: I love your work and I was wondering if you could do a set or a couple of nails with a milk like background. I just find the white acrylic so difficult and not interesting to work with(to me, of course, but I like that technique with a rainbow of colors design. What do you think?

Did Naio get rid of those colored mylar? Just looked threw the whole site and all I found was the hot pink mylar or cracked ice. no neon green or neon yellow any more. did I miss it on the site somewhere? Any help would be amazing bc I really want that neon green you just used pls. thanks for sharing

I'm in the US, & none of the nail techs here including myself do that extreme c curve. I did start dng it to my own thought since I've found u & they def do hold up so much better. I love it, but it's hard to convince clients here to get it done. but I LOVE ur style & you & Adam

Omg, can you do an underwater look like this? Partly see through, with an overall blue background tint on a few, some blue-green mylar, and undersea creatures? You would make it look amazing I wish I wasn't half a world away, I would try to get you to do mine that way.

I think it would be REALLY COOL if you sang a song while applying the nails You have such an amazing voice and I think it would be a cool challenge for you to do. If anyone agrees with me smash the heck out of the like button so that maybe we can get her to do it

So talented you are Gel Polish yes. Hi Kirsty Yes - I-m still watching and learning your videos. Did that dual form and posted on snap shot. not bad, I'll have to keep practicing. But I love the gel polish instead. You're still my favorite nail teacher.

You did a lovely pentagram - Star of David is a hexagram and I find it much easier to draw than a pentagram. Mine always look like a three year old did it, but with your description of how to draw it I'll hopefully do better. Gorgeous nails
