How are you doing? I hope you are staying safe and healthy at home. I felt like the first couple of days of social distancing, I found myself staying in my pajamas and not getting ready each day. That was okay at first, but then I felt like it was having a serious impact on my mood and mental health. Getting ready, doing my hair, makeup, skincare and working out aren't just for looking good, but they make me FEEL good and I feel like that is so important right now. How do you do self-care?

Hi there! Commenting from Greece! I'd like to share my own experience. For us who are alone in this, it takes a lot of courage and strenght. Media are talking about the virus, people are talking about the virus, thoughts have always to do about the virus. Seems like we dont have a choice rather than always listen about that. I happen to be a psychologist and I have to say that constant exposure to this kind of news can be really stressfull, although we have to stay informed. Just avoid exaggerations and misinformation. I'd also like to say congratulations to all these amazing humans who stay home, humans who are alone and fighting this, humans who encourage others. And of course a big and humble thank you from our heart, to everyone out there who are working, helping, taking care of people. We owe you. And my beloved Emily, thank you for always being this happy and optimistic presence- in our screens! We are one people, we are gonna make it

With all the e class teaching (I am a teacher) and webex staff meetings I am busy all the time. Schools in Greece have been closed from March the 9th and e teaching for 240 kids and 9 classes is time consuming. I also try to work out with some cardio exercises at home or go jogging once a week. There is a complete lockdown here for two weeks and up to March the 27th. I live in Athens, I was born and raised here. The Athenians have been always busy, moving around the big city. A lot of commuting for work, busy streets, packed parks with people, children and dogs. Now I look outside the empty street and the empty park and it is strange. Never seen my neighbourhood or the centre of Athens so empty. I hope this epidemic will come to an end soon and we all can get back to our normal lives. Stay healthy people.

Hello! I am from Prague (Czech Republic) and it is really crazy here! They closed the borders and no one can get in and out (unless you are a citizen with special exception.. it reminds me of the Iron Curtain that was in Europe after the WW2), the shops are closed (except pharmacies, food, and grocery stores) and we need to wear masks every time we go outside and gloves in stores. I hope everyone is doing well and this will soon pass.

People should stop acting like it-s really easy to stay inside. I-m from the Netherlands, and when you isolate a prisoner you have to fill in a whole bunch of paperwork. It-s like the worst punishment and shouldn-t be taken lightly. It can cause serious trauma. People should acknowledge that. Yes. I agree. Stay inside. And if you go outside, 6ft apart! But acknowledge the struggles

Emily, you-re so so so beautiful to look at. Your eyes are an absolute dream and I just watch your videos to gawk at you. I have a huge girl crush on you. Anyway, cute video. I do agree that making an effort to dress up a little in these strange times serves as a pretty awesome pick-me-up. I have been doing that myself and I feel awesome. xx themavenlifestyle.com

It-s been really hard to manage school online and have a routine honestly- and also I feel kinda guilty for complaining because we-re do lucky to have a home to stay in and to be healthy so it-s been a bittersweet experience overall-
(btw love that you-re being positive and I-m doing my homework rn with your video on so I feel some company-)

Puppy tip: be consistent and dont make fun of the dog (like don-t act like you will take her out if you will actually not). Same goes for encouraging bad behavior just for fun (like if you don-t want your dog to chase cats don-t encourage that by making cat noises at home just to see what he/she does :) some people do that :(

Great video Emily! I've been binge watching Better Call Saul (it's so good), and playing with my cat, power cleaned my whole apartment, been doing yoga, and journalling.
I'm in Vancouver, BC Canada. We are allowed to go for jogs outside and go to the grocery store but that's about it.
Stay safe! :)
