Ok, now we are getting into my groove. lol. I have been doing my own nails since I was about 14 and I can tell you I have never had anyone do my nails for me. Not even on my Wedding day 24 years ago. I know, I'm a freak. lol. Anyway, I love nail polish and I am always on the look out for a good polish that lasts and doesn't chip. I have to be honest and say that Essie has always been one of those brands that I have tried and really really wanted to like, but no matter what I have done could not get it to last out a week for me. With that being said I am going to be going to the drug store first thing on payday and pick this new Essie up, I feel that because of how great your nails look and I have heard you talk about this in more recent videos that it is worth my money and time to give this formula a chance, Yes, I admit because I don't like their original formula I didn't even consider giving this one a try. I am now though. :O) Wish me luck. I really want it to work as good as it looks and I love me a good manicure. hugs LIsaG

Gf whoever was doing your manicures is insane. I am an esthetician and let me tell you. A) gel polish should last you 2-3 weeks some of my girls get many many more b) a service should never take longer than an hour c) gel polish should never be a painful service or manicures in general, if they are that means you're not being properly cared for That is a result of improper tools like nail drills used on bare nail which is ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY and takes too many layers of the nail down to make them thinThey only need to be hand buffed by a small grit buffer nothing intenseYou need a better salon lol but glad you found something to do at home Also the way they removed your acrylics is 100% not professional lol. Some salons really tick me off Love your vids

Your natural may never be damaged when removing acrylics. I do my own nails for 15 years now (yes I'm educated to do that; -). I have seriously never damaged my own or anyone else' nails. When I remove them the nail looks totally healthy. I wear acrylics or gel when one of my natural nails break so I can keep them all long instead of filing them all short. I'll tag you on one of my photo's on Instagram, there you can see how your nails should've looked like when the acrylics where removed. I'm afraid you have been to a horrible and uneducated nail tech, sorry to hear that: -( Application or removal may never hurt.

ok nails are never suppose to hurt, ever. If your nails are so thin that your gel manicure hurts or your acrylics or whatever then your nail tech is untrained and you need to find someone better. You need to find someone who has proper education and CARES about their clients. ALSO: The Uv/led lights are NOT damaging to your skin they're not strong enough and having a huge platform like this and spreading false information is extremely damaging to the PROFESSIONAL nail industry that I'm in. If you don't know something 100% then just don't comment about it.

Bottom line. nail polish wears differently on different people. Several women with similar lifestyles can wear the exact same brand and color of polish, cheap or spendy. On some it will last 2 weeks no chips, some a week, some 3-4 days with wearing, and on me maybe 1-2 days with chipping. This makes it tough deciding which polish is best when based on other peoples experience. I think it has to do with nail bed psysiology, not so much the polish so finding the right one really ends up being a personal process.

Need your help on this one. You said you changed your polish throughout your trial, so you got me hooked. So I went out and bought some, but question: How do you take off the gel polish? I know that in the salon you have to soak your fingers in acetone forever and then they grind it off. So what is the method for removal. It would be very helpful if you let me know cuz going on cruise and would like to use it. Thanks for your help. BTW, I went back to find the video so I could leave you a comment.

Thanks for the awesome review Tati I have been an avid user of Essie original nail polishes for years. However I just tried the gel kind because I was going to get my nails done at a salon but I remembered seeing your video and bought these hoping it would be nice. Wow I love them so much So shiny and no chips. So much better than spending a lot of money and time at salons. I'm in college so any money I can save helps. Now me and my roommate have pretty nails for the school week

Tati I'm so happy you introduced us to this. As an animal health technologist working in an ER setting I'm always trying to find polish that will last through all the wear and tear, chemicals, etc. I am loving this combo The actual polish doesn't seem very different from any of my other polishes so I'm excited to try the topcoat with other Essie polishes and other brands for that matter I will be especially excited if it works with my wnw polishes.

Anyone else have a horrible time applying these? I got Pre-Show Jitters and the top coat. I tried thin coats, thick coats, waiting 60 seconds in between. In the end I had to removed the first round completely because it looked so bad And I'm used to working with the hardest Essie color ever (Fiji. Still it ended up taking half an hour to dry + it was bumpy? Super disappointing so far. Or am I just being dumb with my application? Any tips?
