So, coming from a geology major, talc itself isn't a problem it's stuff that can be found forming with talc that is a problem. Talc often forms in the same places as asbestoid minerals (like serpentine, crocidolite, etc) which are carcinogenic. During the harvesting process, the asbestoids can occasionally get mixed in with talc. However, only certain types (mostly crocidolite) are strongly. The rest are safer, though ingestion can still pose problems.

Tati, I have to admit after watching you and your reviews. Ive been looking around and checking out other makeup /beauty you tubers. You are by far the best. You are so specific, detailed and meticulous with your reviews I actually learn a lot. From ingredients, wearabilty, staying power, the list goes on. You educate and entertain. I haven't seen any other you tubers do what you do as well as you do it. Big Hugs

I don't know what you were expecting out a highlighter from La Mer, they're not going to create a metallic, high-shine highlighter, that's not part of their brand identity. And no highlighter is going to be worth 135 and you knew that going in. The only reason why people pay makeup that expensive is so that they can say they use expensive makeup.

Can you do a review of the best lipstick/ lipgloss. Comparing the way it wears and feels on your lips but mostly longevity of wear. I work over 8 hours and have work lunches. Working in the cosmetic industry, the price is probably due to the glitters used in it (nice, fine glitter is expensive) but I think they still had too high of a price point. It's not amazing, but I don't think Le Mer is targeting the younger crowd who wants the intense sheen highlighter.
