Not exactly a lip treatment, but the best lip balm I’ve found are the tubes from eos. They’re pretty cheap (under $4 each) and they last me a while even though I feel like I use it a lot. Another thing I do when my lips are extra dry and chapped is to use a little of my eye cream on them before the lip balm. The best eye cream is the one from Believe Beauty. Unfortunately it’s only available at Dollar General but it’s $5 and it did some sort of magic on my eyes. I used to have really deep and dark wrinkles from squinting and one tube of that stuff erased them. It’s phenomenal. Would highly recommend anything from Believe’s skincare line if you have a DG nearby but the gold tube mascara and the foundation are also great (a little conflicted on the concealer lol)

Zote soap is awesome to clean your brushes, puffs, sponges. I use a clean container that used to be a butter tub or something to store the zote soap in. If you trim lashes trim the outer part not the inner part. I struggle with my liner because my eyes are downturned so I do my eyes first so if I screw up my eyeliner I’ve not messed up my entire look. I can start over or clean up the area easier. I have very very thin lips and it’s hard to wear deep lipstick colors, I smudge the outer part instead of using lipliner because the harsh line on tiny lips doesn’t look good. Magnetic lashes are way easier to use if you struggle to glue them on.

Thanks for the tips. Here’s my favorites from the influencers I think I heard themLisa d, keep a Mac makeup wipe on the counter so you can wipe your makeup brushes as you go; Alex used eyeshadow primer on her eyelashes before mascara, I tell everyone that one! Deepti (spell) primer, foundation, then primer again for areas that you still have big pores, and Wayne for setting spray on brush or at least with foundation that you apply directly to skin; tight lining with a wide brush not tiny one and I forget who.

Tati, I have an issue to problem solve. I find that when I apply my foundation, particularly under the eye area, everything looks good until I apply my settling powder. After applying powder, the undereye goes all crepey and I look 30 years older!
I have to set the undereye and I have tried different loose powders, different amounts of loose powders and pressed powders. I'd love any tips for undereye care including skincare etc to help with this issue. Thanks so much! Really appreciate your content

Best to find a sunscreen that doubles as a primer. Your base layer of spf is the most important one and the sprays are only good for top ups, it doesn't only last a few hours, if you apply an appropriate amount chances are you will be decently protected all day, especially with casual sun exposure/no sweating. With a spray it would already be impressive if you managed to apply enough to get HALF of the labeled protection, most people won't, not over makeup.

Question - my biggest issue is eyeliner. It always fades off. I think my hooded lids are a bit oily so it wears down. I have tried 30 longwear eyeliners and not a single one will last more than a couple hours. Recently I have been trying to line in my upper waterline area to stay away from my hooded lid. Any advice for eyeliner staying (I'm turning 50 this year so mature eye skin may also be the issue) LOVE your tips Tati!

Oh Tati! We live in Texas, DFW area, and we had squirrels inside our walls. From the video, I am 99% sure you guys are having the same problem. We had to call a special guy to come and get them out. He put a trap, and then we had to seal our vents on the roof with flashing all over. It was expensive, but a must do. You do not want any of them to bite into cables and cause a fire, or eat through the insulation.

What I like to do with my lips to keep them from looking so dry is after I put on my eye cream, whatever residue left over on my finger I dab it onto my lips and then let it absorb and then I put like a little Chapstick or lip balm or something over that to help seal it inlike a charm. Also, my favorite lashes are by kiss lashes and they are called the new natural and these are their wide slacks style.

Ok so I had given up on applying false lashes because I never could get them to apply how I wanted them to. I never knew you were supposed to take the glue off before you apply. so yeah. this video just changed my life. Thank you for sharing! I love all things beauty, but this one somehow slipped through the cracks because I had no idea! Wow. I’m going to apply some now. Love you!

About cleaning brushes, here’s what finally worked for me. I have one container for dirty brushes. At night, before I wash my face, I use Cinema Secrets to clean the brushes in that container. By the time I’m done with evening skin prep, the brushes are dry. I then put them back in the clean brush containers. A little OCD, I know, but it’s my thing.

On the ends where my hair gets fried sometimes I'll use a spray moisturizer, I like the one from Loreal, and I also like the Caviar CC cream or the 10 in one spray. I put a couple sprays on my hand, rub my hands together and then apply it just to those areas where the hair is dry. It really helps and I think it soaks in and helps for multiple days as well.

Tattiii I am soo sorry about that animal in your house! I have experienced this before and it freaked me the heck out. But I have to admit that I had SUCH A LAUGH from your description of it and how it feels like you're living in a haunted house. You are hilarious. I would laugh so much in real life with you if we were just chatting it up.

Love this throw back type content! Just an interesting thing to note for those who feel this is repetitive or too OG Beaty guru stuff: a 16 year old watching this video (in 2024) was 10 in 2018. Time to dust off the OG tips and bring this great info to a new generation. Thanks Tati for helping us all up our makeup game!

For years I blamed my own face for creasing in the eye area (under eye and lid. I finally realized my eye cream (though lovely for night time) had a significant amount of oil in it; oil breaks down makeup. I switched creams for makeup application and never had a creasing problem again. Tati is so good with these tips love!

Love the tips and techniques always! I laughed out loud when you talked about the eyelash adhesive because for the first 3-4 times I used eyelashes I was that newbie working around the adhesive strip wondering why it sometimes felt like a lash version of wack-a-mole in getting them to lay right

I need help with watery eyes! It's so annoying I set my under eyes and then a few minutes later my eyes will start to water, especially when I first step outside. ive tried not setting my under eyes or lightly set and it's almost worse. It's so obnoxious I have to babysit my under eyes all day.

My mental health can get in the way of not cleaning mine & I hate it. I also related to the animal sounds. It comes & goes, but it is scary when it’s scratching around. We’ve had someone try to remove it by putting a banana in a cage, but didn’t work. I also hate it lol

I have been loving the new Mac Fix Stay Over. I'm 46 w/combo skin. This setting spray replaced my old favorite, Becca Skin Love, (also alcohol free but discontinued. Until Mac introduced the new FSO I couldn't find an alcohol free option that looked good. It really works!

I put copious amounts of Vaseline on my lips every night, have for at least 4 years. My husband (just married! Feels weird) calls it my crack because it feels so good to put on, and I'll just sit there and swipe the tube around. Wake up with slightly plumped, hydrated lips!
