My current and favorite sunscreen is the Mad Hippie Daily Protective Serum SPF 30. It’s a mineral sunscreen but the consistency is a serum so I find it doesn’t go on thick and it leaves a only faint white cast that is more brightening than ashy or grey looking on my medium-tan neutral skin. It sets down to a natural hydrating finish so it’s not too oily for oily skin like me. And it sits well under makeup. It does have Vitamin C in it so that’s something to consider for those with sensitive skin and those who already use a vitamin c product. When I first used it, I found it to be slightly irritating but I was already using a vitamin c serum. Once I ran out of that serum I was using, I stopped experiencing the mild irritation when applying the sunscreen. It’s also 80 min water resistant.

As someone who underwent stem cell therapy (which was miraculous for me, I can tell you with complete confidence that stem cells applied topically don't actually do much of anything. Stem cells that have been injected are miraculous for repairing injured tissue. For me, I had a migraine headache every single day of my life for 34 years following a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver on the interstate. until I had stem cell injections this past March. Since then I've had one migrained that only lasted three hours. (Formerly, my longest severe migraine lasted eleven days and actually caused me to have a seizure) If you want to utilize stem cells for beauty purposes, there are places where they can be 'inserted' into your skin via microneedling.

I know it's probably not the most fun thing to talk about things that aren't your favorite, but I honestly love this kind of video. I test a lot of skincare and go through way more no thank you products than ones I fall in love with. I try to give everything a chance, but sometimes with one use, that's enough to determine a nope from me. I cannot stand heavy fragrance in skincare! I'm currently using a product made with platelets that's working well for me and makes my skin look great. I've definitely noticed an increase in products with stem cells and other ingredients that I'm just kind of skeeved out about, especially if there is an odd scent to them, I just can't.

In relation to same ingredients and different results. Think of cookies and brownies, essentially the same things inside but completely different outcomes.
And then to go a step further, not all cookies or brownies are made equally from eachother either. It's all down to prep / quality / ratio of ingredients / mixing times / which stage each ingredient is added / the way it's processed (cooked)
Every single little thing makes a huge difference, formulations are no different to that.

I can only use mineral sunscreen on my face. I literally have the most reactive skin, I can’t even use ones with titanium dioxide. It has to be zinc only. Cotz face moisture lightly tinted has a skin like finish, no cast, and has the texture of a makeup primer. My makeup goes on great over it. The Paula’s Choice tinted mineral is also a long time fave of mine, and I can wear it as like a tinted moisturizer with no other makeup.

I have had similar issues with sunscreen. My derm says you need a little tint in order to protect the best against melasma and pigment. The skinceuticals physical fusion UV defense sunscreen is absolutely amazing! Blends in and dries down to very natural finish. Does not break me out or make issues during the day. Can be worn alone or under makeup unlike a lot of others that disrupt the makeup! And it is spf 50!

I LOVE mad hippie’s daily serum with spf 30. It is one of the only spfs that doesn’t burn my eyes or break me out. It rubs in quick and is the only thing I generally put on under makeup in the morning. I wish the spf was higher but I continue to use it anyways for the texture and it is mineral also but doesn’t have much cast. Don’t get the tinted version though. For some reason it feels total different and pills.

It's never too late to start a good sunscreen regimen I've tried probably 100's in my life time I wish I could give you mineral suggestions but I cant wear them and I cant wear chemical but for some magic reason I can wear hybrids. One of my all time favourites is by a American company called SunBum it's the SPF 50 Face Cream and it's like $15and they have a face spray SPF 30 that can go on over makeup.

Medical aesthetician here! Exosomes are the up and coming ingredient in skincare. They are like the amped up version of growth factors. Just educate yourself on the ways they are sourced for that brand. Anteage is my favorite current brand- theirs are called biosomes and are replicated in a lab rather straight from the source. I’ve seen insane transformations from this

Tati it's about time you switch to korean sunscreens! They are amaziiing! I tried the Centella Hyalu Cica Serum one from skin 1004 and the Aqua Fresh one from Beauty of Joseon and I looove them both, they are chemical tho but never hurt my sensitive combination rash/redness prone skin. For the mineral kind, I heard the one from the brand haruharu wonder is great!

I could wish tinted mineral sunscreens didn’t leave you looking so sweaty. Since you have oilier skin than me, I tried one that was a little too drying for me - Australian Gold. It makes your skin look incredible, but just too drying for dry skin. For drier skin, neutrogena and Eucerin have nice sunscreens. And I still love superfood unseen sunscreen and the elf dupe.

I am the same with sunscreens Tati, I find that usually any chemical or even chemical mixed with mineral will break me out, I have to use only mineral but I agree certain ones will sink in and look great. It has to be a thin formula for me. My skin is so sensitive and I have to be very minima with my ingredients. Thanks for sharing what worked & what didn’t.

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said I love my routine I believe what skin care is selling is the spa like experience. The claims many brands make are just that claims and mostly unsubstantiated by science. They are making consumers for life. We keep on using different things. Truth is nothing can stop or slow down the aging process short of surgery.

The whole bit with stem cells alarms me so much. Especially since late term/after birth abortions are taking place more and more. Yes, a. k. a murder. But countries including US are doing this for stem cell research. I don’t care if it’s a fountain of youth, I’m going to grow old gracefully like God intended.

That’s interesting about the Clarins double serum, I have the double serum light and I found that doesn’t seem to be ridiculously fragranced but they did just reformulate perhaps they added more fragrance in, and I’m super prone to migraines but the light formula never caused me issues

I wear the bluestone sun shield when I go outside only in my yard or extended period of time. My son, I promised I would only wear a hat and tons of sunscreen at his soccer games. That is fair to me. He is 13 I don’t to embarrass him too much. But in all honestly I adore the face shield!

Have you tried the Kosas Dreambeam mineral sunscreen I’m older than you and it has absolutely changed my skin and eliminated all of my sun damage with consistent use over the last couple years. It has skin care ingredients as well as the sunscreen and doesn’t cause any irritation for me.

Thank you so much for such a great video. I'm a newbie and have enjoyed the few videos of yours that I've watched.
Elemis. I think it's HORRIBLE. I just cannot get past all the heavy fragrance. The ingredients MAY be good but the fragrance is blinding!

CeraVe Tinted Hydrating Mineral Face Sunscreen has been a major win for me. I wear it without any other makeup if I am going to be sweating/outside. I wore it to Disney in Florida and was neither sunburnt nor did it melt off or feel icky for a whole 8 hour day.

About the best SPF under make-upI am stuck on Allies of Skin’s, The One. It is a gel, with no smell at all, fabulous under make-up. Tested it in humid weather, really hot days, on water and on land. I think my quest for the best SPF has come to an end.
