I'm oily and i agree about pat mcgrath foundation it wasn't amazing imo i got oily skin and it wasnt impressive but my faves that I'm obsessed with are sheisho skin refreshing fenty hydrating is bomb last long with a matte primer. smashbox new foundation made me break out with 2 large pimples on my face and I heard other ppl saying same thing they broke out with cystic pimple so beware also it looks heavy on the skin but does look smoothing

I bought the Pat McGrath foundation because I needed to spend 87 to reach VIB Rouge status, so what's 68 when you need to spend 87? I can honestly tell you that I've never gotten more compliments on my makeup than when I wear that foundation. My DAD even tells me how nice my makeup looks, and my dad doesn't notice stuff like that. The price tag might not be worth it to a lot of people, and that's fine. I get it. But it's worth it to me

I personally dont like the smash box foundation. I went to Sephora to purchase it but I opted out for a sample before my purchase. Im so glad I did that because Im not a big fan of it. Wayyy to thick and cakey in my opinion. I also got this sample over a month ago and it still have a lot of product left. A little goes a long way I also have oily skin.

I'm looking forward to trying the Shiseido foundation. I've been staking the Sephora Canada site waiting for it to come in stock. I just wore the Fenty foundation yesterday. About the fifth time i've tried it and it just does not work for me. Looks good when first applied, but turns into an oily mess withing about 2 hours. And I don't have oily skin

I bought the Shiseido foundation based on your review. Shiseido is one of the oldest cosmetic companies in existence, so I knew it would be quality. Anxiously awaiting the Sephora package arrival. Only nervous about the shade I chose (only so I can avoid schlepping to Sephora to exchange)

The Smashbox foundation really is FULL coverage but without looking like a mask. I think it's excellent value because you honestly need the smallest bit. It's more full coverage than some concealers. It will even cover horrible hyperpigmentation without looking ashy. Highly recommend.

I have really dry skin and I thought the Fenty one would be great for me, but omg it was TERRIBLE. I have no idea why. I got so much texture around my nose. I tried it multiple times with different primers. It was so bad. Im glad it worked for you though
