If I was continuing to go down the road I was I would either end up dead. or do something really, really stupid. That was scary. Cara Delevingne speaks with Vogue's Chioma Nnadi about her journey of healing and sobriety in the wake of some personal challenges. Camille: I m 26 and sober for the first time since 14 and it s crazy it s like I m getting to know myself for the very first time. I hated myself every day of my addiction. I was in survival mode every second of every day, and that ages you in itself. I m so grateful for where I am now. Love to all who are struggling with this sinister disease. It s not your fault.

Such is the need for online content, she is already under pressure to share mere months later, and I guess Vogue is hard to refuse. Relapse is a part of recovery, while speaking out is important and a brave thing, I think she is at a very early stage of recovery and in all honestly I think she should disappear and just focus on herself not just for 6 months but for the next couple of years anyhow. This interview wasn't necessary at this stage and has come too early. Now the attention on her will be even greater and therefore the burden she carries.

Huge respect to Cara for being so open about her own journey - hopefully it will help to destigmatize addiction and encourage others who may be struggling to reach out and find that help towards recovery and health. She really was dragged through the mud in the media last year so publicly which must have been a total nightmare.
Wishing all those struggling with addiction the strength to keep going, keep fighting and to find the help they need to get healthy again

This looks like face washing to me like: hey, it was nothing I m great now, hire me! Happy to see her better but recovery is not that easy nor you are just going out and partying happily 3 months after. It is very difficult in our drinking and partying society. This does a favour to her but not to people who struggle with recovery, specially at the first years.

Yes, so glad we re finally addressing the elephant in the room. I thought it was so strange how no one was addressing this during her latest press run almost pulling the veil over our eyes. So glad that she was open to having to addressing this and that she s getting help. I wish you the best for her on her sobriety.

If anyone has the strength to fall down and admit that they stumbled it s Cara. She is being honest and owning up to her mistakes. Which is hard for anyone to do. Maybe her reach as a celebrity can show others not to go down that same path. Or get the help they need. Stay strong Cara!

i have always loved this woman since i was in high school. i wanted to be her at one point i remember she was the it girl in my eyes growing up. i remember at one point she was everywhere and doing so many great things. i m rooting for cara, she deserves the world

Wish her the best but it s a shame when that celebrities go on full-stop redemption campaigns 2 weeks into getting sober. All the publicity about newfound sobriety only increases pressure and makes it harder to take any stock in their recovery after a while

I feel so proud of her. The maturity with which she's dealing with this is outstanding and immaculate. She seems much better now, and I've always considered her a pretty grounded person. I hope she wins this war. I'll be rooting for her for sure.

This SERIOUSLY takes me back to when I was early in sobriety. I was in a treatment centre too, and it helped me more than anything else ever has.
So glad that it seems she s started off strong and hope she continues to heal

It's harder when the world is watching and treats your sobriety as entertainment. I'm rooting for her and the fact that she opens up on such a public platform like Vogue hopefully makes people feel less alone in their sobriety.

This is the earliest I've ever been to a video and I'm so proud that Cara decided to speak up about her experiences. It's not easy being vulnerable so it's refreshing to see a celebrity like her opening up.

I am so happy that she is much better and how incredibly strong she for being able to get help and stand against the horrible people of the internet who were using it as entertainment. I wish her the best
