Ya'll need to stop with these dumbass comments. Everyone has their own way to make -queso- (but I call it rotel dip)
Mine is slightly different, I use bell peppers, onions and a jalapeno. Sweat them out with spices, like you would with a curry. Mix chicken broth, milk (2% or half n' Half, juice from choice of meat ( I use country sausage and ground Pork, canned rotel (with lime and cilantro) juice together in a sauce pan. Boil add cut up cheese (Velveeta 2%, shredded swiss and shredded colby jack) slowly. Keep stirring so nothing burns. And WHAM BAM add canned rotel veggies let sit for a while for thickness and ya done.

I mean, I am from Mexico and I don't feel offended like most people in the comments because this is tex mex and I hardly know a thing about it I don't even know what that cheesse taste like. I think the mexican recipe this dish is inspired from is choriqueso, is just melted oaxacan cheesse (is white, creamy and very stretchy) is usually served in a clay pot and on top of that is chorizo. Is an appetizer and the side dishes are nopales (a type of cactus) salsa de molcajete, tortillas, frijoles con totopos, guacamole and little roast onions.

Ree has always come across as Fake and Very Heavily Staged.
Then lockdown Episodes arrive totally proving me right
Lockdown Episodes you have the actual Ree natural making mistakes having a laugh burning things
So why has Ree spent season after season after season pretending she doesn't act like this instead she's spent years selling herself as the PERFECT 50s Housewife which always looked Fake and unnatural

None of this is -queso- wether it be the white rendition of their sauce or any other cheese. This is literally processed cheese. None of this could be considered Mexican or the American version of -queso- this is really sad. Literally -who makes the best nachos- is a shit ton better title

For all y-all saying stuff about how the recipes are all wrong and what not, this is TEX-MEX something we eat in Texas our queso is not gonna be the same one you would find anywhere else because it-s different. Unless your actually from Texas (which I am) you can-t fully comment!

My friend is Mexican and owns a very successful Mexican restaurant and his recipe whole milk and jalapeno juice simmered and sliced white american cheese slices added until creamy and add some jalapeno. These dips look good but arent -queso- to me.

Am I the only one in the comments who likes velveeta cheese? Real cheese has its time and place, but Veleveeta is bomb in certain things. The food snob comments are annoying considering most of y-all probably don-t even cook.
