50 People Try to Cut a Watermelon Epicurious Shohina: In my country, it is basically impossible to find a pre cut watermelon, so even the dumbest people can actually cut a watermelon. We do what the chef did, except we only cut off one end of the watermelon (idk why though) and we tend to cut the quarter in half to make more manageable triangles because it would seem rude to cut the watermelon in such big pieces especially if you're serving it to guests.
There's also the more popular method of carving around the rind of the quarter watermelon and making small triangles with the bottom of the watermelon intact, so that it's easier to eat, and faster to prepare

I guarantee you some of the people in this video who watched it back and saw the chefs and people who did make it into triangles are watching this like its the most amazing thing theyve ever seen. Their minds have been blown.

Two things I learned, people apparently dont know how to cut melon (city folk) and you can buy pre cut melon (city folk)
