I sorta liked the idea the staff needed to purchase there own uniforms. Yes it is wrong, and no hotel owner should force them to bye there uniforms out right. But in this way its the staff who where the clothes with pride, and can pick the style of dress or suit they where in house instead of forcing them to wear a generic polo and pair of slacks, it brings not only more life into the hotel, but more pride in the inploys making them want to show off thair clothing, and in doing so show off there work place. Now if the hotel would buy the uniform they picked out being in a reasonable budget, that would be perfect. My only other problem is the men where not held to the same dress code.

I once interviewed at a restaurant where they told me to buy these specific clothing items from these brand and wear them to the 2nd interview or the part 2 interview. It would have cost me around 200-250 to go to an interview. I didnt even go cause I went to the interview part 1 and they were like oh that position was filled but we DO need a dishwasher and MAYBE a hostess from time to time

Its so easy to tear apart a complete stranger via social media. And we do it with sick glee. I do wonder if anyone of us actually thinks about the impact our words have anymore. This lady is clearly unhappy with her situation and doing her best to just live a life. Hope things turned out well for her and her family.

As a cat lover, the stuffed dead cat at the door would have stopped me cold - I wouldnt have made it inside to see the 340. 00 dirndl uniforms. How awful. As a musician, seeing an instrument sensitive to humidity and handling used as a centrepiece, getting greasy and banged around, would be equally offensive. Ewwwwww.

bruh, here in Austria, most of the staff working at a regional restaurant wear Dirndl or Trachten for work and have to buy them privately because theyre usually also used for private events like at Austrian festivals

I had to have my own uniformas made. The owner would select two bolts of fabric from the local fabric store, and all of us had to make our own uniforms from it. Pretty despicable.
