This Day 3 of this 4-part video Chinese food tour of Yunnan. Watch it all here: Luxis cooking school: Zouba Tours: It was another incredible day of Chinese food in Yunnan. It was a cold and rainy day, so we started with some noodles. Then we went to Luxis cooking class and learned how to make Chinese hot chili oil, and finally ended the day with an amazing copper hot pot of a special type of yellow beef. Breakfast at Liu Pan Shui Mutton Vermicelli ) - Located in Dali Old Town, we started off the cold and rainy morning with a bowl of mutton vermicelli. The noodles were so warm and soothing and the mutton was fragrant. But probably the best thing about this Chinese breakfast was the hot chili oil, and Luxi said they had some of the best Price - 12 RMB (1. 82) Wan Bao Hong Cheng Tea Shop - After breakfast, we walked over to a local tea shop to sample some Yunnan teas. Yunnan is famous for growing tea, and especially for puer tea, which is black, aged and fermented tea. It was a great learning opportunity, and as a tea and hot drinks lover, I fully enjoyed it. Puer tea - 300 RMB (45. 47) Rice and Friends - Chinese Cooking Class - Luxi was our guide for a few days during this Chinese food tour trip, and she also owns a cooking school in Dali called Rice and Friends We first went to the market and bought a few ingredients, then we went back to her cooking school to learn a few dishes. The highlight for me was learning how to make Sichuan style hot chili oil - a condiment that you can use for just about anything and everything. Yellow beef copper hot pot - Yunnan is known for its speciality yellow beef, and also for a style of copper hot pot. The beef and broth was insanely flavorful, and we added in a few vegetables. One of the best things about this type of Chinese hot pot is getting to make your sauce. And we must have added about 25 different ingredients and seasonings to our sauces. It was an outstanding meal, one of the best meals of my trip to Yunnan, China

New one Mark, I know and appreciate your love for chilli, and I have watched many of your videos. Not necessarily in order as I tend to flit about but, I have noticed over many clips that you tend to douse the offerings of very accomplished chefs I really do value your opinion. And dont want to upset you but I think personally that you have lost your roots and over value your opinion. . that dont come across as nice no matter how I say it but it still needs to be said. . dont get too big headed x

Just wanna say to be carefull if you are new with spicy food like chilli oil. I just make chilli oil and its very good for eat, but i got some realy unplesure pain in stomach. I drink some milk and its litle better. Maybe i dont have resistant or somethin, but i got that pain from chilli oil. I hope after few times i will become more resistant on chilli oil. Cheers

You said it was cold but you never indicated what time of the year it was when you visited. People interested in possibly visiting the area are curious as to what time of year it was when those conditions occurred We enjoy these videos so much but a slight suggestion. I have seen enough of noodles and chili oil. A little more diversity would be nice.

Hey Bro, You should look up a local cooking school in all the cities you visit. For 3 reasons, One is more content, 2. is for your viewers to learn different cooking from different cultures, 3. is for a cooking book for you to sell. It's a lot to do but since you are making these journeys to different countries it would be time well spent.

Great tour guide I bet if she had been a guy, more people in the comment section would've complimented her like they did the guys in Indonesia and Dubai. At least they didn't insult her like they did Mike's female friend in Indonesia. SmH Anyway, great job, Luxi The school looks great

Less than 2 dollars for a big bowl of noodle soup and a bowl of salad? With mutton? Thats probably more than 10 bucks here in America. Looks so good too. Thats what we need during a rainy day and yet Im here eating sunflower seeds and drinking coffee.
