Ya know. Tons of people are saying thats a cake. Not a doughnut. But knowing from experience, making a big doughnut is really stinkin hard to do. You have to have at least two gallons of frying oil and you have to figure out how to make the dough not sink in the oil. This supposed to be a DIY doughnut. So, I dont blame popsugar for not making a real doughnut.

Guys, Doughnut can be made by a cake batter or yeast dough. Same thing like scone, scone is a bread but it is made by rubbing in method and have baking powder/baking soda etc in it but the real bread uses yeast.

i mean she is not the only one who came up with this idea and we should appreciate her for making videos constantly. she is pregnant and must be so tough for working with a huge smile. she is a great woman.

This is not a donut. It is basically cake with a hole in the middle and added with frosting. The least you could is fry it.
