i made this for my moms birthday. i did have a springform pan but its just 4(diameter) by 2(height, so i ended up making a mini version while the remaining batter is used to make cupcake versions. thanks alix

I have made this several times, but one of the best times I made it. Was when I made 4 of them for my band whenever we got the first straight ones for my school in over a decade and everyone enjoyed them

You coulf also whip up the extra ganache and pipe a rosette border. This way you dont waste any ganache and you have two different textures wich can add another dimension to the cake.
