Nice recipe, being i'm Irish, but i reckon you used canned peas by the look, & they are not good, poor texture, would prefer to use fresh or frozen peas, otherwise you had me at taters. Yes, the stereotype is true, Irishman love potatoes, I eat them appx. 300 out of 365 days a year( any style, baked, mashed, smashed, fried, roasted, au gratin, etc) eat rice or pasta appx. 30 days a yr. & do without the rest of the few days, enjoy folks, this post from a 56 yr. old man from Kentucky.

Do yourself a favour and DON'T use Tinned Carrots & Peas in this dish. It's a great idea to put the 'Pie' be it Cottage/Beef or Shepherd/Lamb inside the Potato, but the God-Awful taste of the tinned veg will ruin it. Use frozen, even one of those Peas & Carrots mixes, it won't alter the cooking time, or if it does it'll only be by 10 minutes, and it will be worth every single extra minute.

No, no, NO Shepards pie has lamb in it, not beef. You also missed out celery and bay leaf and you do not add Worcestershire sauce. And dont even talk to me about the amount of salt you added. Tasty, dont call your recipes by the original name if youre not going to cook then properly This is a cottage pie recipe NOT Shepards pie

To all of you Brits out there: we're sorry for this. error in judgment. Tasty is owned by Buzzfeed, so that pretty much explains it all. Tasty is like the Boris Johnson of cooking vlogs. We are deeply sorry. Please don't make Gordon Ramsay yell at us.

In the US Shepherd's Pie does have beef because of migrants and the cost of lamb is much higher here. It's widely known as Shepherd's Pie here. It's like a dialect, it's wrong to your origin but it's right to ours.
