I Alton Brown'd a juicer attachment for my cordless drill. Took a wood hand juicer, added a screw at the end of the handle and trimmed the head of the screw off. When juicing I found that putting a paper plate between the drill and the juicer kept the mess down. I juiced about a pound of oranges and then some lemons and limes for a carne asada marinade.

I use a heat gun to finish/sear meats that I cook Sous Vide all the time. For that, it works rather well; especially for skin-on chicken, as it both rends the fat and blows the liquid fat away from the skin and into the meat with it's air flow.

YES! Another episode. It's fun watching Chef Alexis make use of the appliance she has on hand. I think the Girl's Scouts should make her an honorary scout master or leader, or something of that level. hahaha
