James Beard Award-winning chef Gregory Gourdet, culinary director of Printemps New York and chef-owner of Kann in Portland, brings Eater to his favorite NYC spots on his day off. We start at Bub's Bakery, the new bakery from the team behind Fish Cheeks, for some gluten- and allergen-free delights. Next, he catches up with lifelong friend and chef Paul Carmichael of the New York Times No. 1 restaurant in NYC, Kabawa, for some pan-Caribbean snacks and patties. From there, we head to Gourdet's favorite Indian restaurant, Dhamaka, where he digs into the biryani, kale chaat, and fried fish. #nyc #food #vlog Chapters: 00: 00 Intro 01: 09 Bub’s Bakery 03: 20 Bar Kabawa 07: 53 Dhamaka Credits: Supervising Producer/Director: Connor Reid Camera: Murilo Ferreira, Michael Latchman Production Sound Mixer: Bill Vella Production Assistant: Jay LaForest Assistant Editor: Seyeon Bang Editor: Lucy Morales Carlisle Executive Producer: Stephen Pelletteri Head of Production: Stefania Orrù Supervising Producer: Connor Reid Post-Production Supervisor: Lucy Morales Carlisle Director of Production: Michelle Fox Senior Director of Photography: Murilo Ferreira Supervising Producer, Social Video: Jordan Shalhoub Download the Eater App: Eater is the go-to resource for food and restaurant obsessives with hundreds of episodes and new series, featuring exclusive access to dining around the world, rich culture, immersive experiences, and authoritative experts. As someone who’s gluten-free I am moved to tears learning about gluten-free Jamaican patties and a completely gluten-free bakery! Wow! very exciting. Also would really love to know Chef Gregorys outfit notes especially the two toned jeans! Stylin!

Gregory Gourdet is always a pleasure to see. Ever since the first time I saw him on Top Chef, he has consistently been such a sweet spirit and kind soul and loving human (and he seems so chill, too)

With all due respect, before making these media appearances, please try to care more about Maison Passerelle; honestly one of the worst french restaurants given its price point.

That gluten Free stuff looked good but once he started picking it apart to eat it I was out muffins are not supposed to tear like that

I love red meat and gluten and dairy, but imo Kaan is the best restaurant in Portland hands down. Fun to see what Gregory eats on his day off!
