The other day I stopped into a dollar tree and found some items that I wanted to DIY into cute room decor that looks EXPENSIVE. I think you are going to LOVE these projects and definitely let me know which was your favorite in the comments section below!

I liked the flower pot the terracotta color, too. Both are nice. Just a note, you can use vegetable oil, with a couple of spoonfuls of old candle wax (saved from where a candle burned out-save scraps of old candles) or beeswax. I would just drop it into the vegetable oil so that you are not 'cooking' the vegetable oil that you intend to make a tallow candle of, because if it is cooked oil, then it can turn rancid, though with candle wax mixed in with it, then it does not turn nasty as fast. Even with uncooked vegetable oil one should put a lid on it, anyway. Just for those that do not have much money to spend, or they use a lot of candles, that they could use vegetable oil with a couple of spoons of old wax from candles, or beeswax. You can make a tallow candle with no wax or beeswax, but if you do not use a candle wick akin to the one you used in the video, then the cotton string won't stand up straight in the candle, becoming a nuisance to deal with, as if it falls to the side it burns out. The wax just makes the cotton string stand upright, so it will not fall to the side and burn-out.

I really loved the last one, but our dollar tree does not have those 2 wooden pieces. I was looking for things to put a sea-shell style arrangement on, and it would make a great base for one. There are a lot of sea-shell arrangements on mirrors, but that one would be something different. Will look around for those, thanks for sharing it, was a good idea.

You can describe that basket wrap as an 'Ojo de Dios wrap'. I'll bet everybody has made a round potholder/coaster/faux dream-catcher-type thingee when they were a kid and used that wrap to make it.

I wonder how the candle holder would look if you didn't cover it completely with paint, just sprayed really lightly and not the inside. Maybe sprayed one side of the facial features?

I LOVE this but life really hates me.
I live in a small town and I live like half way across the world from America soo I won't be going to target any time soon.

Now I'm sorry I didn't buy one of those face pots! I was just looking at it as another pot I didn't need, but it looks great painted, and could be used for many things.

I learned something new about spray paint. Good to know. Where I live, we can't have lit candles. I hope to buy a house this year. Where I can have my own rules. :)
