You should build an extension for your cabin and put in a kitchen with a refrigerator and a sink and a garbage can, etc.
You can have several videos where you install the power source - solar, hydroelectric, wind turbines, backup generators, etc.
Then you can have one video where you install electrical and lighting for your cabin.
Then you can create another cabin extension to make a separate bedroom or living room.
Then you can make another video where you make the living room furniture and install and energy efficient TV!
It seems like a lot of work but then you can invite people over to stay!
I don’t think people will mind you adding modern amenities.
You can also have a video where you make an outhouse.
I guess you shower and wash in the lake but what do you do when it’s winter and you want to shower
Maybe you should just add a bathroom to the bedroom extension while you’re at it.
It will probably take you 7 years to build all of this but think of all the content you’d have and the revenue you’d generate!

Very few places left in the world where a person is allowed to do this themselves. What with development 'permissions', building plan 'permissions', obligatory contractors from an 'approved' list, and inspections at every step. Nothing about this home is 'up to code' and it's a damned shame we can't build like this any more. Sometimes a human just wants to be left alone to our own devices, with the full weight of responsibility on our own shoulders. But no. The government is there to treat us like irresponsible children and to monitor every step we take. It's so disheartening.

I have watched almost every Eriks videos. Today this thought crossed my mind. Because Erik is doing everything in old style, this cabin and this new building is going to last for hundreds of years. There are cabins and huts in scandinavia, that have lasted centuries in harsh winters. Only if someone takes care of roif and the yard in once in a decade, this will survive for centuries.

Been watching for a while. Do you use chainsaws Or hand tools for the videos. I know from experience how hard it is to simply bring down a large tree without hanging it up. You make it look streamlined and easy. It is not.
