I'm taking you along with me to some of my favorite thrift stores in LA. I personally love vintage home decor and decided to spend the day searching for some gems! I've been dying to find a unique, vintage chair to include in my apartment too. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found the perfect one. for under $100! Comment below your favorite part!

The majority of my apartment is thrifted. Before covid, I would hit up local yard sale days, even drive to neighboring cities and towns for their yard sale days, thrift stores and wherever else they sell secondhand stuff. I've even scored so many awesome pieces for free at the end of yard sale day because people just wanted to get rid of whatever they didn't sell. I got my desk for free, a trunk that I turned into a coffee table that doubles as storage! One of my living room sofas was free on the Offer Up app (still can't believe that one) I upcycle and thrift so much, and frankly I love my apartment even more than I did when I used to buy everything to style it. It has so much personality now, it's so unique and very much me.

Brass vase = spittoon
Green glass container = vintage refrigerator storage (should have had a lid)
Pretty much everything you got excited over can be found in any yard/garage sale in Texas for PENNIES, lol! Cant believe how much people in LA pay for the stuff we in Texas cant wait to get rid of. but I do love your enthusiasm and appreciation-cant believe all my starter decor from the 70s & 80s is now vintage, lol!

Paint that barrel back chair BLACK! I have one I found on the street in pieces. I reglued it, sanded and painted with black chalk paint and added black wax. I used a silver/gold (I mixed it) chalk paint on the back three (out of five) turned pieces. The chair looks absolutely stunning and a bit like the VERY expensive chairs colleges sell to their alumni.

I collect lamps like that first one with the brass base The bronze vase is actually a brass spit-tune, which I also collect. Basically I hoard brass I will literally buy a white lamp and trade it with someone who wants to paint a brass one to shabby chic it

I don't know where people find this stuff. Our thrift stores are full of broken toys and old shoes. The good stuff is in the antique shops, priced higher than what you find in regular shops.

I have a project chair that looks exactly like that black one you showed but it's beige at the moment. I'm going to leather paint it & see if I can make a Profit from it!

You can always chalk paint or spray paint if you don't like the color, you would be amazed at how much some paint can change not just the look but the whole vibe of an item

that little square ribbed glass container that you put pics in? It's actually a Federal amber glass 4 x 4 in. butter dish. I enjoy your videos.
