The real thing to think about when it comes to roses on their own root is that som of them run. I bought a rose that made havoc in one of my beds as it popped up everywhere out in the grass as well and it was so hard to get rid of. So make sure your rose stay in place if you want it on its own roots. When it comes to dieback in winter here in Sweden we bury the grafted place low down in the soil and then when winter starts you can put extra compost on top of the soil so you have a loong way down to the grafting point. If the rose dies back to the ground the real rose comes up next year and you will never have problems with the rotstock putting shoots out! Swedish advice!

Hi Danielle that table scape stopped me in my tracks! Wow! It's gorgeous why limit yourself go for all the candles! Definitely keep the tall ones! The votives draw your eye down to all that beauty! I love the new roses! If I didn't have deer I'd plant one! Grace was determined to knock down that snowman hahaha it was just a big play toy to her. I'm looking forward to Wednesday's video, thanks for more postings! I appreciate your time and effort.

Phlox requires no shade whatsoever, and they need to be thinned out in early summer, plus Chelsea chopped. Excellent air flow is also required. Having it against the house is a poor location for phlox. Since the phlox was given to you, it may not have been the correct cultivar or possibly a hybrid of David and another variety. David' phlox is more resistant to mildew issues, and slightly shorter than most taller phlox.

Stunning table scape! I’m going outside right now and see what I can find to duplicate yours as close as I can. I’d remove the tall candles OR change them from white to brown, orange, or my personal choice: purple, if you can find them. Other options might be shorter candlesticks, less shiny candlesticks, blocky wooden candlesticks with short fat candles.

Both look great! So glad to hear you are putting out more videos. I wish you would make them longer. Also I think we cut flower people would like to see the bouquets you sell each week. Its nice to see what you put together so we could get some new ideas as well. Just a thought, unless you havent been selling bouquets anymore. thanks for listening.

Hi Danielle, great video! Tablescape is stunning. My eyes went to tall candles and bringing in eggplant tall candles. Loved what it added in your arrangement. Just my thoughts.
So nice to see Gracie! She looks awesome. New rose is stunning. Thanks for the information. Have a safe week. Sandi

Hey Danielle, looks beautiful as always. You’ve said in past roses you wouldn’t do roses because of Japanese beetles. Just wondering how you will approach now. I ask because I love the look of roses and have horrible Japanese beetles already in my garden with zero roses present. Thanks in advance.

I hope you have better luck with Heirloom Roses than I have. Back in the 90s, the roses were highly quality, but every single one I purchased from 2020-2024 were absolute duds. I have bought own root roses from other growers that were much more robust and healthier. I hope yours work out for you.

Love the table scape with both candles. Also I went to Ken’s Gardens yesterday and it is such a great place! I live about an hour away from there and only get to Lancaster a few times a year so I decided to stop by to check it out while I was up there. I will definitely be going back!

I like the tablescape with the tall white candles. I think the votives would have worked if they were clear glass. The gold votives are pretty, but it' too much with everything else. They eye doesn't know where to focus. Such a pretty tablescape!

Always good to catch your videos on a slow Saturday morning! I vote for votives only in your gorgeous table scape. In my opinion the taper candles are a bit too fancy. Looking forward to what you will share with us in upcoming days.

Great video and stunning tablescape! I love both sets of candles, but I think I would stick with the tall ones. The color of the votives just doesn’t seem to blend in enough and takes away from the elegance of the tall ones.

Danielle, when you harvest hydrangea blooms for decorating/drying can you safely harvest all of them on the plant Or does it stress the plants out to cut all of them (I'm meaning with hydrangeas that bloom on new wood)

Danielle can you post a picture of that table arrangement with the candles all lit up I'd love to see how it looked in the evening and what you decided to go with for the candles. I'm sure it looked spectacular

Hi Danielle your table scape looks gorgeous! I like the use of both candles! I hope you can give us an evening shot as you have in the past! Looking for to seeing all the videos you have coming! Happy Fall!

The tablescape is perfect with both. It should look even better all lit up! I especially love the color palette. Thank you for including the destruction of the snowman. Grace sure had a blast with that.

Gorgeous table scape. Love both the tapers and the votives. AND love that you picked the white pumpkins early they look light green which I think is gorgeous and blends very well with all the colors!

I find the roses from heirloom are very small and take 2 or more years to get large blooms. Look at Star roses. I ordered 165 this year. Wholesale. Grade 1and 2. Own roots and great prices

Prettiest garden out there with good information. Thank you. Ps tho, shades are no problem, mirrored shades are distracting. But again thank you for sharing your garden with all of us,
