I show you how I made a cute Halloween sign with a cat, a ghost and a pumpkin. I used some string LED lights, plastic bottles, tin foil, paint, hot glue and paper clay (I used Das modelling material. This is a great way to teach children about recycling plastic bottles and also stimulate their creativity and imagination.
I first cut the bottom of the bottles and then I glue them together. I made the cat's head using the bottom part of a bottle, added some tinfoil ears, legs and tail. I also used tin foil for the ghost's hands and head. The pumpkin is made using the bottom part of the other bottle, the shape really helps. When I had the basic shape of the lamp I made a thin sheet of paper clay and covered everything. You can work in one layer or, if you are a beginner you can work in two layers, one for covering the surface and the second one for details. While the clay was still wet I wrote the word BOO and also made the eyes of the characters. After everything was dry I sanded it carefully. When I was happy with the surface I started painting. I used watercolors and acrylic paint because I like to work in many layers and be able to change if I don't like the way it looks. In the end you can seal the paint using some matte spray varnish. I placed some battery LED lights in the lamp.
Mark: You do amazing work. I tried cardboard a few years back when I got hurt but didnt think of the paint to make it realistic look or cartoonish look even better. Awesome awesome work. I like hot rods and old barns and the old abandoned towns back in 1920's 1940's and suggestion would be appropriated. Thank you keep doing more videos. Date: 2022-04-28
