How To Paint A Twilight Forest Scene - Painting Lessons by Brandon Schaefer SchaeferArt kdhailey8: Thank you SO much for these lessons! I've always loved painting and just need a nudge or a clue sometimes when it comes to getting what's in my head onto the canvas. I followed and adapted your painting with the little white forest spirits from Miyazaki's -Princess Mononoke. - Worked beautifully. Can't wait to see what I can learn next!

Brandon, this is my favorite painting! I'm disabled and haven't painted in years. Never much then so I'm attempting to learn. You inspired me to begin. If you wouldn; t mind. Please, Will you send me or post the Colors you used please? I would sincerely appreciate it. I want to attempt this painting. Bless you! Love your videos!

Very pretty. I like the pictures on the wall as well. I've started watching people paint recently, not because I paint but because I am trying to learn about how to use colors for depth and lighting so I can attempt to paint with polymer clay and make 3D paintings for journal covers etc. This painting showed me both. Tyfs!

Great lesson but the camera is so far. and there is light on the canvas and cannot see clear what you are doing. It is so important to set your camera in the right place so we can really see what you are doing. thank you, this is a lovely painting but so hard to see.

I don'tknow if this was the goal, but am I the only one who see's a Lord of the Rings influence in this? This reminds me of the scene when the hobbits are in the old forest, and see the elves. Probably way off base, but thats what I see in it: -)

It appears you are using oils, not acrylics. I went from oil to acrylic and can't live with no blending at all on canvas. Trying water mixable oils now. Best of both worlds. Light touches and long strokes don't compute with acrylic.
