I've used alot of media and compare others to myself and telling myself that his anatomy drawings are insane, LOOK how she paints so well and forcing myself to become like them. But after seeing this video, I just realized a quote which is -Be Yourself- and staying away from social media to feel free in art. But I always struggle that I need references so I just hop into the couch and look for references. I got easily distracted and thus spending hours scrolling down the phone. Thanks for this Advise Schaefer: )

I don-t care what others think of my work or what they think of my life, too, by the way, I not looking for acceptance or approval or the big yellow star on my artwork.
I make art for very selfish reasons, to enjoy the process and know myself.
If others find something in my art great but I don-t make art for anyone.

Hello! I'm not very new to art but I have never taken a tutorial of it. I have been comparising my drawings to others and I always felt very sad that it didn't look as professional or good as theirs: ( thank you for telling me how to be happy with my art: )

This video was so good for me. This is exactly what I found, - don't compare my art to others-. I used to but it wasn't useful. But when I focus on my art I seen everything get better. Thank you so much Brandon.

I will honest i sometimes compare myself to others and i see my mistakes therefore I have improved a lot since last year. Moreover I hope you are fine and healthy because you seem so busy.

#scjaeferart. For one to understand other art is fist to understand them self what do I mean every artist is different we should all no that. I ask my self will my work improve.
