i really prefer to draw from life becauae i feel like i get a better understanding of lines, and im glad that you brought up drawing from life instead of just looking at other people's lines, i find that a lot of my artist friends have trouble with proportions and how things should look because they study from something simplified and stylized rather than from life itself. i couldnt never really explain to them why they should study from more in a way that actually makes sense, but you said it perfectly. Studying from a drawing doesnt really show your understanding. Its like having someone read an article and explain what they remember to you.

This felt harsher than usual XD But, no point sugar-coating. Life drawing is very helpful, drawing from drawings doesn't help since there will be minute or major errors in a drawing and so it is easier to amplify those errors and they make lack crucial details. Life drawing was very daunting but. Get used to seeing a naked person XD

Cool stuff, Stan.
I think sometimes you might want to lower the opacity of the drawing prior to drawing on top of it. (or placing a semi-transparent white layer on top) Even if you draw with a blue color its a bit hard to separate it from the original drawing underneath.

I love it how he gets straight to the point, and goes into what needs improvement. Makes me consider putting some money aside for his course, to get some of that helpful critic

Because so many people are copying lines you might want to add that they shouldn't worry if the drawing doesn't look like yours, as long as it looks right.
