That was an excellent point you made, Stan, at 05: 03 - 07: 00 about the color- and light differences between the two people's arms, in various parts of the drapery, and the reflection light, and how those color errors ruin the cohesiveness of the painting. You are indeed right, these -mistakes- make the painting look a bit amateurish, despite these techniques might have been part of a painting trend that were taught back then. Thanx for pinpointing that.

I think a bit of art historical perspective is needed here. Stylistic differences between artists whose works span centuries shouldn't be viewed as mistakes or shortcomings. Lucas Cranach the Younger wasn't a primitive painter just because he didn't paint the way Caesar Santos does. That would be like an abstract painter saying Santos' work is faulty because it's -too realistic- and -not abstract enough. -

-Proko at the 7 min mark I saw it totally different the colors of the solder are healthy and the sick man is near death with the small angelic child behind him. To me the story was the death of a father or king. THANK YOU for doing this!
