The amateurs having issues with using references it's not because they think it was cheating.
It's because when using reference, they somehow have that kind of feeling which is, their artwork isn't being drawn/created by their own individual skill and experiences.
It feels like - I am so pathetic that i couldn't make a mere art by myself that i actually have to steal skills from other the artist to make it better? -
Those mindsets are mostly from the very competitive group of people that love comparing and want to be better than other artist so badly.
I kind of understand that kind of feelings.

Hi Stan, I have a question either for you or Marshall, is actually related to his online course on perspective, to be more precise, his last class on plan projections. Now, I'm just guessing here cause I'm sort of a beginner, and from this guessing comes my question, is there a way to project a perfect tilted cube in 3 points floating in space since you have no ground in the image? Oh and tell Marshall that after several youtube videos on perspective, his course was the cherry on the cake.

I heard you mention reference art isn't cheating. I only post my drawing from imagination. I know from experience my reference drawing are 20x better and looks exactly like the art I'm copying. I want to be a comic author and have been stubborn about doing it with my own work from imagination but I hear a lot put there characters over reference. Should I sell out and do it?

Dudes, you made come back to drawing, and for that I'm very thankfull. I was so insecure about art that I shifted into 3D, but that's not entirely my gig. I'm back into the drafsman craft and all for it. Keep up this podcast, wich is awesome. And Marshall, come on man, go make some app for people go to sleep, cause your voice is awesome. See you in 2nd season.

About remembering dreams. In my family what we dreamed was a usual conversation I think that's why I remember my dreams well.
I also acidently have had semi lucid dreams ' Don't like it though. More fun just to follow the natural happenings in the dreams

Since I found the podcast around Christmas it has really pushed me to do more art. I was practicing before like 10-30 mins a day and now I'm doing around 7-13 hours. Thanks Stan and Marshall for the interesting conversations. I can't wait for season 2

'Paintings for blind people'. I heard a while back that there was an exhibit of famous paintings reproduced in an embossed fashion that people could run their hands over and experiencein a way that might damage the originals.
