I give my thoughts on a couple calf assignment drawings submitted to the Anatomy for Artists course. I'll give you two tricks for shading and one for shape design of muscles vs tendons. The first is a way to simplify shading. An easy template to use as a starting point. My second tip has to do with looking at the shading subtleties that a couple pro artists use and incorporating that within your work. Huge shoutout and thanks to Loish and Max Grecke. Be sure to check out their work in the links below Leo: Hey Stan! Been following your videos for years. Will you be able to start a video on doing studies using marble busts? I'm at that point in my own study where I keep on seeing people mentioning 'draw marble statues, etc. ' But I don't know how to get my head around it. Thanks and keep up the great work!

I am so incredibly happy to finally see you talk about core shadows and all that in a way that-s clear it-s not a rule, but rather a common situation. I think your shading lesson lacks that really much.
And also thank you for your work! Very helpful!

The tips i would give for shading that I learned in my life drawing class is that, do not overshade and only shade away from the light. it was most helpful tip i've recived from my professor.

Every time i watch a video i get irritated how people spend 1. 50 minute to just to introduce the video. It's not like a 2 hours of video length u don't rlly have to introduce it.

Can you do a video on how to set up your workstation. What brushes are you using, softness and such. Please. Love your stuff thank you.

i think you can do an entire series analyzing professional artists and old masters' works. That would be great and extremely educational

What else trips you up when you-re shading? Let me know in the comments and I might try to cover it in a future critique.
