Yep -- but there are many areas to explore: storyboarding, character design for video games, toy design, drawing original comics and graphic novels, etc. Broaden your outlook, and I'm sure you'll find something appealing and rewarding.

Sometimes, we actually try to do TOO MUCH when drawing cute characters Less may be more. Why not try to simplify your Kawaii drawings, and concentrate on the general shape, and on drawing expressive eyes, and see if that helps. con

I use either an HB or a B grade Staedtler pencil. There are many good brands - it's more darkness than the brand. a 2B is good for animators, but very tough to erase because the led is so soft. I hope that helps.
