I very rarely ever draw backgrounds at all. I'm more of a character drawer. But when I do want to draw a scene, I prefer the cartoony backgrounds. They're simple, and less stress causing.

I start to draw, and draw inspiration from the process of creating, rather than waiting for inspiration to hit me before I draw. Try it, maybe this approach will work for you!

2-point, and sometimes 3-point perspective is used. But the types of structures are quite different. Maybe I'll show that next time.
