Please tell me you know this video is teaching people wrong. tap water needs to be airated for 24hrs to remove chlorine etc. ph must be done After messing with the nutritional value, before is waste of time money and effort, also grow room temp messes with ph, also ph stabalizers in tap water make it very undesirable in hydro application, morning and night you must check ph. if you must use tap. when using tap one must equate its ppm as well in edc. wheres the calimag? you grow like this? may i ask what you grow?

wrong! you pH your water after you add your nutes, he didnt even bother to pH the water after adding the nutes. after adding nutes the pH tends to go down. that bucket also holds 5 gallons if only filled all the way to the top, that's only probably 4. 5 gallons of water or less, and you never dump the water with pH tester back in. all he did was put too much nutes and the pH is now too low and the water has pH tester in there. this video needs to be deleted.

The way this guy pH the water is totally fkn useless. supposed to check pH after the nutes are added. and he didn't mix after each nute was added, another mistake he probably made was not letting the tap water sit out for a day to let the chlorine degass off. this is bad info that could lead to new growers developing bad habits

This video should be deleted! I just don't get why people make videos before they even know how to do stuff. Ph water after nutes are added, mix each time you put a different nute in. don't dump ph tested water back in. just so many things wrong.
reply

I always thought you were supposed to adjust the ph AFTER you have already added the nutrients. This is because nutrients are either acidic or alkaline and youll end up putting way to much ph adjusters in the solution possibly burning your plants.
reply

Wow, pouring test solution back in to the mix, balancing the pH prior to nutes, only 4 gallons of water due to the bucket not being completely full at 5 gallons. using cap fills for measuring. this guy makes me look like a master grower.
reply

Yes so many wrongs you don't dump pH test solution in your nutrient solution you check your PPM or EC first then you check your pH after you add your nutrient I don't know what you're growing but it's probably Where the Red Fern Grows LOL
reply

I guarantee you're going to have a different pH after putting the solution in it you probably could have put your hydroponic solution in it and pH tested it and be right where you wanted it you mix Your solution first and then you pH it

How long will prepared water in a clean, dark, and closed container stay right?
Say instead of hydroponics you set up a tank with perfect water and drip irrigation, could you leave it for weeks? (depending on the plant of course)

Two major mistakes:
1. You should measure and adjust PH after adding fertilisers, not before, because ferts actually change PH of the water
2. You mixed grow after micro, and then bloom without cleaning the measure.

Thanks for the video! A lot to learn but well worth it. One thine I'd like to point out is that you mixed up the caps for those bottles. Not sure if that makes a difference as I could see in one residue from the container.
reply

last thing you should do is check your PH before putting any liquid on your plants, that way you know the PH is right. these days it seems that its more about being in the video, and not about the content of the video.
reply

1) you used your thumb to cap your test tube for testing the ph. That will cause inaccurate results.
2) you poured your test back in your water. The test solution is poisonous.

reply

Hi bloke hey your water is not really suitable for hydro it's too high in salts, if it's above 250 ppm youll get salt build up as your plant transpires the water between flushes.
reply

Dude do you not know after adding your nutrients you ph will change
You should have checked ph after adding not before. Did I see you pour the PH test into the mix? Not good.
