I complete the transformation of the fireplace, adding a DIY concrete mantel and a hand-formed copper heat reflector behind the stovepipe with copper left over from the kitchen sink and backsplash. In the evening, I grill duck breast with wild rice and simmer a maple syrup/blueberry reduction sauce in my cast iron skillet on the BBQ. I split some kindling for the outdoor kitchen and I sit by the campfire until dark before retiring to the log cabin for the night, Cali sleeping on the bench on the main floor and me back in the loft now that the night time temperatures are more comfortable

We have an outside pizza oven and the flat ones cook in a minute or so, delish! Thats the real deal oven right there, 100%. This man builds to perfection for folks watching who dont know building. This is really really nice work that has been documented here. 1 man! Im a big fan since Christmas I watched the first long vid one afternoon and have liked his vids since. Glad you found your way!

I like your horno.
im Pueblo and we use those to bake bread and our version of aslow. cooker. my grandpa would cook a head of a cow along with other parts. grandma would add whole pumpkins. seal it up and let it cook.
when we build ours we do it in sections to allow the mortar and sandstone to set. can't rush the mud. it also gives you time to do other work

I absolutely love to watch you cook. No matter what it is, it always looks so easy for you and the food looks delicious! You wife is lucky to have a husband who knows his way around the kitchen. My husband wont even make a sandwich. He says its better when I make it (ha ha. Much love and God bless!

look up towsend he is a man that has studied 1800 living and does ovens just like this he is from my home state and you may get ideas about how to do things he loves people to ask questions and has built log cabins from the era and we just seen this and thought of him and all he does

Gee, I was waiting to see how you put the stove back together again. Esp. those insulating/fire proof seals! Taking that stove apart and knowing how to put it back together again are the kinds of things that terrify me.

Love what you are doing out there my friend and I understand the back to nature living, but it would not be a sin to have a few battery operated power tools to help with the build. Just a few!
