4 guys build a longhouse in the Canadian wilderness and sleep in it with their dogs at the peak of mosquito season. We cut down dying black ash trees, strip the bark off in large sheets and fasten it to the cedar log frame of the traditional Native American / First Nations longhouse shelter. Hah! Thought the voice sounded familiar! One of the Baird brothers from Alone! And the winners as I recall. Had to read the description just to check if my hunch was right. Looked a lot skinnier on Alone Great video as always!

Great video as always. Does anyone know where I can purchase one of those fire grills (or whatever it's called? I love how you can swivel it away from the fire and I know someone who would love it.

I've built a Mi'kmaq wigwam using spruce root and birch bark over fir poles with fir boughs as the floor covering and a fire pit in the middle ringed with sand. Very comfortable and warm in winter.

No not bacon you'll clog your arteries with all that bad saturated fat. What numbscull came up with that moronic idea. saturated fats are good just like certain cholesterol can be.

After going on a video streak i still cant help wonder, even if connected to nature away from society humans still seem to have no place upon this earth

Dig a ditch from outside to the fire pit and cover it for draft. It will cut the smoke down 90%.
The same is used in TIPI's.

Question: Why using the bark? Doesnt that rot quickly over time in icky weather? not being snarky; just trying to learn.
