Bushcraft Project, Tomato Trellis, Firewood, Log Cabin Life Gardening Homestead Robin: I havent been able to watch for a bit. and was wondering if your wife is still with you at the cabin? I so enjoyed it when she was in the videos. I hope you/she are doing well. Looks like you have been working full steam ahead on your homestead in the woods. I cant live the way you do, but in my own way, I myself have been doing as much as i can to be self sustained in the event that food will get scarce again. the economy really ranks, or my daughter, who lives with me would be out of work for illness from the virus (she works in a busy retail business. i line in the US and you just never know with recent events what the next months/years will bring. I have been learning new ways to garden that would be doable for a 57 year old woman who has some disability. I have a container garden this year, but have plans for a better system next spring and looking into some hydroponics that i can grow some things inside over the winter. I have been adding to my food storage a bit at a time and have managed to have at least 6months worth so far. My goal is that once the pandemic is more in control to sell my home and downsize to a fully off grid home and do what i can to rely mostly on what i can do for myself. Well, I have been a widow for 23 years. so im used to relying on myself in order to raise my 3kids, who are grown now. Im not doing all that i am doing because i am living in fear, because I know God has told us he would take care of his own. but some of that means learning to live within our means and live simpler and as self reliant as we can. i really enjoy your videos

Your job is your life, your life is your job, we all need time to recharge our soul. While you work much harder and amazingly better than most, you are not a machine nor robot. We only see a short snippet of your day to life, your photography and editing skills are beyond compare. Happy to have you back with your your fuel tank topped off.

Greetings from Melbourne Mr. LEGEND. How do you protect the garden from deer moose rabbits and other rodents, Sir. There are a lot of veggies on the patch and look so unharmed. Also could you give the exact location of your cabin so we could explore it on Google earth (if thats not a privacy issue. Thanks.

I watch frequently and periodically you mention your family, and I recall a couple episodes where they appear. I believe your wife lives at the cabin full time now. Wondering if she and your daughters help with various projects or are they otherwise occupied?

You should ask for volunteers, or one volunteer to help you with the work or the filming. Then you can just work. Maybe someone who wants to learn about this type of life. College intern type of deal. Or learn while you work deal.

These are the most tranquil, peaceful (hard working) videos I have enjoyed watching. Please do not let others negativity slow you down nor does their happiness sit on your shoulders. Have a beautiful productive day

Hi Shawn, I love your videos, they are very relaxing after a stressful day at work. Thank you! I am curious as to why that whisky barrel is in quite a few of your videos: just wondering; ) Liz from Kemptville. :)

Im curious why you don't have a sidearm. Unexpected things happen so fast in bush. Critters love veggies, especially tomatoes. Did they get yours?
