Catching Fish In HURRICANE Conditions! (Hilarious) Jeremiah: I use 8in black salamanders for bass fishing. I will use them during the spawn when the males guarding the eggs and the female is feeding. You sight fish there beds and Texas rig with a 1/4 oz bullet sinker. I cast about 6ft past the beds and drag the salamanders to the bed and twitch it on the eggs. The male will leave and the female will come pick it up by it tail and drag it out about 5 or 6 times before she smashes it. I would recommend you give it a try sometime. I cought double digit bass in a 5 acre pond. It works man very well. If your ever in Northeast Iowa and want to fish I'm game on showing you how to use the salamanders.

I found that the lizards you trashed talk work best during the spawning. The lizards like bass eggs, so the bass attack when the lizards get near. I use them a lot early spring where I live in West Virginia. Cotton candy and this surprised me motor oil are the best scent for this area.
