And if you ever go back you need to dive around the pipe. You were so close to it but didn't find it apparently. It is a big pipe that goes under the causeway from the harbor to the lake on the north end of the harbor. As we local fisherman know the area around the pipe is a fishing hotspot, there is a constant current going in and out of the pipe (switches directions every so often) and that attracts all kinds of fish. It's especially popular for steelhead fishermen in the winter.

Oh and the reason you probably don't find anything real interesting under the boats is because those harbors get a lot of diving activity. Not from recreational divers, but from divers hired by the boat owners to clean the bottom of their hulls. So they probably take the valuable stuff (sunglasses etc. Now go to the playpen (area inside the breakwaters by the Ohio Street Beach) and I bet the bottom is paved with sunglasses!

I'd like to think this is real, but I can't get over finding two plastic lures within a metre of each other, then later finding two yellow fly fishing lures the same distance apart under that dude's yacht (when looking for the light. Seems questionable to me.

Picture/artifact you found is a picture of a hindu god named krishna bhaagvan. Not sure why exactly they throw symbolic artifacts into the ocean but would guess they believe that all water is linked to ganges river which is known to be holy and pure.

The picture of 8: 54 is a religious picture. A lot of ppl in India put things in the water (Yes I know it's bad and contaminates the water) like ashes and pictures like these because they represent rebirth and other religious things.

This title is so clickbaity they could've gone fishing afterwords. This is also a relatively non violent part of town, it's like saying you had a knife fight and leaving out the part where the opponent was a dead fish

The rod is one people use for snagging salmon with in the fall. It's illegal in that harbor but is legal in some places in Chicago like Jackson Park and the Lincoln Park lagoon.
