Gabe - what you made is a Mahi Melt, a different spin on a tuna melt.
Next time try it with rye bread, sauerkraut, sauteed onions & mushrooms, thousand island dressing & Swiss (or provolone) cheese. It's a smothered fish Rueben. I like to use gamier fish for it though. We sold the crap out of both sandwiches at the restaurant and wholesale fish market where I used to work.

Mahi Mahi is my favorite salt water fish. Used to get Mahi mahi fish-n-chips at a little Irish pub on Maui that was the best I've ever had! It makes incredible fish tacos too! You are so right about Lawry's garlic salt. the best!
I'm single but I still buy the 33 ounce ones from Costco.

9: 22 That is a very poisonous fish, the only safe part is putting your finger in it's mouth. Next time anyone handles it, like -bluegabe did, follow it to a T. They can have toxic spines on their head, back and tummy area.

I was thinking cheese on fish was a little iffy, but then i remembered shit when i was growing up we always melted cheese over our fish sticks in the oven and tossed on some homemade tartar sauce and. pow delish. lol

Stone fish is similar to pacific scorpion fish or sculpin! In SoCal the 1/2 boats will fish specifically for sculpin. One of the best white meat fish. A lot like your lion fish too.
