Hey man, I have been streaming your wreck fishing videos like a madmen lately. I am doing some lingfishing myself of the coast of Norway but haven't caught such a giant as you have in this video. I like watching your videos, they are really educational and relaxing. I was wondering two things about your fishing though, 1. How long do you ussually try a wreck before moving on? Do you give it a few hours are are you gone within minutes? 2. I am facing the same difficulty of catching to many ling and I was wondering if you know anything about using a release weight (A weight you attach to the fish and release at the correct dept so that the fish can swim away) usage on ling? I know it has about a 70% succes rate on cod and I thought about experimenting on ling.

-The Fish Locker Hi mate just noticed a product to allow fish with blown swim bladders to be returned to depths safely, know it's expensive, but how much are the many fish killed over what we want to eat each year boat fishing worth?
It is called the seaqualizer. com/the-seaqualizer/ and I include the link for viewers to judge for themselves the worth of thousands of fish each year unable to be returned without this gadget. All that water and some prick decides to rock up and fish next to you, reminds me of when i was on a carp lake and i started catching, this numpty packed up his gear from the other side walked round to the peg next to me and started fishing as close as he could to where i was fishing! Baliff told him he wasn't fishing his own peg, he got cocky and got chucked off the lake lol some people are beyond idiotic!

Anyone I-ve seen catching conger has thrown them back. Are there any or many people eat conger? As prolific as they are, I imagine there is some kind of market for them, but then again, what do I know? What port are you out of, you haven-t shown match of the countryside, it-s got to be beautiful. I-m from high desert, sagebrush, cactus rattlesnakes and pronghorn antelope. Cowboys and Indians.

When I caught surplus to own personal needs I had my round of needy in my community and delivered carrier bags of freshly filets of fish. The folks could not afford nice fresh fish and we fishermen can do much for the less fortunate in our community. I co ordinated with local priests who also enjoyed some free fresh fish.

Well that was a bonus. I'd just finished watching you and James in your latest 'winter fishing video' and this popped up in my recommendations, one of the half dozen or so videos I have yet to watch. Yeh watched it again - 1st thing the sea oh how it changed again highlighting respect is needed at all times, 2nd I can understand how some fish (blow) when you bring them up, but why some fish more than others? And finally. I admire your patience with the other. boat people ---

Great vid John for so many reasons so much content, might have to watch it twice. You know when you catch a wrasse or bass etc you can say wow what a great condition fish, that's what I thought about that conger you caught about 20 mins in, really was a stunning example!

I haven't ever really fished and probably won't do anytime soon but I still can't stop watching lol. As a city boy I am also shocked at what you have been catching in UK shores.

John is a total legend, not only is he extremely knowledgeable about fishing but also the fauna On the littoral area! What a lovely chap, with his lilting N/E accent, lovely to see him with James (who has been poorly ) and his wife all having fun Fishing!
