There is a dropper knot that Spaniards are using in traditional wet flies probably since the Astorga manuscript 1624, to also in euro nymphing. Faster, easier, low light to full dark tie friendly, strong and It allows to move the dropper up and down, also undo the knot and we can go back clean to use only the point fly.
I use it in saltwater -

-I bought these and used them at the river where I get snags often they have done a --enjoyable. fishing-- recommend great job of not breaking along with some strong line I purchased as well. They are super durable and easy to use. -

Are you still using the perfection loop on the butt section to connect to your fly line? Also what are you using as fly line? A euro line or standard 3wt line? Thanks, Anthony

I fish smaller streams where indicator fishing is much more difficult. I think I'm gonna try this type of nymphing out because I've had zero luck with indicators so far

New to Euro nymphing. Can I use my current collection of small, light weight nymphs (i. e. RS2s, etc) as the dropper fly or do they have to be heavier weighted nymphs?

I prefer double surgeon there, I use all fluorocarbon, typically 15 lb for butt, 10 lb to 8 lb to 6 lb. thanks for info guys! Really enjoy your videos
